stylus127,another thing to watch out for is blankets coming off on the run mate, aswell as superblue jackets.I've seen all these things happening champ.Tell you what mate,I've seen 6 blankets and packings getting bashed just because the assistant who had the best intentions to clean the press as it was running, drop a rag into the feeder. Not much fun chief.
Cheers for that but such thing as a blanket coming off i would put down to operator error, also the red clamp gaurds should prevent any damage if this was to happen. Cant say much on the super blue's as we dont use them. Also, a rag through the feeder isnt a good idea.lol. Im suprissed it got through 6 units. a rag would have stopped my feeder on a 52. not much room to feed anything like that. very sensitive.
Mate the name heidelberg says it all. Bolts only snap off on ryobi, sakurai, komori, or other such machines. And what good is any press running on tickover.
U fuc**ing twat. Do you know anything about presses or are you a dreamer. Come see my ryobi running at 13,000 sph. Ryobi's are good machines. Cross of Komori and ryobi of that list. You know fu*k all
starprinting. I am no dreamer. I am a small time printer running first class presses. I just tell it as it is from experience. I moved from the jap machines to the heidelbergs and there is no comparison. No need for foul mouthing,. LOOSER. You language is like your press. LOL
I was running a sm72 when the rag went through. The rag ended up in the delivery then I pulled up mate.A printer I knew cut down a blanket from a 102 and cut it too big so he couldnt get it tensioned enouh so it came off on the run and jammed in the nip of the blanket/impression cylinder causing gears to strip all along the drive side of the press mate.Operator error champ just like pilot error can cost plenty. The printer was on medication for a while after that due to the fright he got chief.
I agree that Heidelbergs have a great reputation for seaworthyness over aforementioned but mate,I'm talking through experience.I ran a cd 102 6 colour with u.v. drying and the ink reciprocation bolt that you loosen to change roller oscilation snapped on the run more times than I want to remember.
I don't think any of you dumb fucks knows anything about water or ink

Common running light weight stock at 15000 an hour on 52's. grippers cam release on the operators side of bar causes this. Just gotta work with it.

Mate, your running that a bit fast are you not?
Old presses can sometimes have bolts that snap off and get into the gears if you run them too fast.
