I have considered using these adhesive methods-what i have found that works great is the blue painters tape. This works great for me and a roll lasts for a long time. The tape can be reused a couple of times before you need to replace it depending on your project. Give it a try it really works good!
I found that Xyron repositionable adhesive works great. I buy the 2 1/2 inch wide rolls for the sticker maker and just roll it on the mat and tear it off at the end. It takes two strips to cover the mat. They also last a long time.
Thank you SOOOO much. These mats are expensive and seem to be getting more expensive. BTW, I went to Target and cartriges there are $79.00. I paid less than 40 on ebay. Another good tip.
Thanks for the tips! I've seen this idea but now I can learn to wait a day AND not put the protective plastic on until then. Sorry about your mat, but you've helped the rest of us out.
i think its easier to just go buy a new one

I used Goo gone that I found at the dollar store to clean my mat before using the 2-way glue. It seems to have worked out fine so far.

I think the "Goo Gone" idea is great. I'll try that to clean the mat before I restore the next one. Thanks!

I have found that spray adhesive works really well. I use Tack 1000.
