I bought an album of her when I was 17 and this man brings back some fab times spesh the fact it was vinyl man seems like forever ago ...oops that's right it's made a come back. lol ...maybe I should have vinyl party!? Fun!
I'm sure we've seen each other at least in passing from those days. Great times. You must remember Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys, Holy Moses and The Children of God as well. Not to mention Pan Copeland's Sound-Ins that used to feature such folk as Richie Havens and Tim Hardin. Colwell-Winfield Blues Band? I mean those were great times. Little bit of Paul Butterfield from time to time, too.
I remember hearing her perform in truly tiny clubs and theaters in Woodstock (town not festival). Seems like a lifetime ago. Wait, '68 or '67, yeah I guess it WAS a lifetime ago. She was so good and I could never understand why, with her talent, she never really caught on. I still can't figure it
@detweilcny Yep. I used to see her in Woodstock 1969 with Fear Itself. And when I say I "saw" her I mean seeing her in town, a local. That and performing.

Hugely underappreciated, this woman has been. I saw her once, and I don't know a better slide guitarist was ever born.

Thank you so much! I haven't heard this since 1974. What a great performer, way ahead of her time.
