@bookconsumption : Cholesterol is a needed part of a healthy diet and not the cause of heart attacks. That reasoning is the product of the medical establishment, which has a vested interest in selling medications and keeping the public ignorant. The true cause of heart attacks is an acute deficiency of alkaline minerals and antioxidants in the bloodstream, causing arterial-wall damage. That in turn attracts cholesterol buildup and blockage. See mercola(dot)com and thedouglassreport(dot)com.
@JBC814 I have seen a strong evidential and scientifically supported case that saturated fats, dietary cholesterol, and trans fats lead to an increase in blood cholesterol. This reasoning (which is more like self-evident observation than reasoning) is supported by a wide range of studies spanning but not limited to the "medical establishment". Mercola on the other hand has a vested interested in securing profit from his information.
@JBC814 I would rather invest my trust in hundreds of independent scientific studies, clinical reports, and hundreds of testimonies regarding the reversal of cholesterol, heart disease, atherosclerosis, thrombosis, etc... through avoiding saturated, trans fats, and dietary cholesterol than I would in any site selling a product or a message. The choice in my mind is simple, I simply believe that which is garnering excellent results...plants!
Dude your body manufactures it's own colesterol up to 75 of it , more if you don't get enough of it in your diet. So When you eat less you manufacture more. The body uses colesterol to repair cell damage when unused sugar in your bloodstreem brakes down into free redicals. Free radicals damage blood vessals. The body uses colesterol like a bandage. Too much sugar and you get a whole stack of bandages over time, hardening of the arteries.. Starches and refined sugars cause high colesterol.
Ya those guys have gotten pretty chubby since there first video. im sure if they intend to keep up there show they would start learning about plant foods. Guy Fieri from diners, drive ins, and and dives has a fresh veggie juice in the morning, similar story with man vs food guy.
