I have a thing for playing games drunk. My w/l ratio in league of legends when i'm drunk is the same as my w/l ratio in dota2. Says a lot about the relative difficulty of the games. Dota2 won't kill lol - sure, it'll steal some userbase, but the game won't notice it at all. HoN will however suffer a lot from dota2's release.

@sebgun yeah it will be a bit harder if you've never played dota 1. league of legends is a ridiculously easy game to play especially wit the new heroes they been adding. this game theres more things to take into consideration like:

Denying creeps and towers

always carrying tp's(teleport scrolls)

warding is alot more needed in this game and it costs's more too.

the items are used a lot more

juking is a lot harder in this game but a lot more satisfying

@sebgun The nice thing about dota2 is that if you say you'r newb people will help, a lot, and you can also watch streams to see how others play your character. Ingame there is a tab for ongoing live games etc. I won't lie: dota2 is a lot harder then LoL, but when you're over that you'll do just fine. I recommend playing 1 character a couple of times until you've got the basics of the game down.

Actually the original maker was guinsoo if i am not mistaken (prior to 5.84c), icefrog took back after the 6.00 etc... versions. So most of the credit of the heroes goes to him... Even if the concept is from guinsoo. A lot of people forget that the concept comes from him and not icefrog.

Plus, valve never made dota. EVER. Heres some background, Gabe Newell used to work for Microsoft. DoTA was a player MOD from a game called Warcraft 3 made by Blizzard. Who's the copier now? Just cuz it has DoTA 2 in its name, does not truely make it DoTA 2.

DotA: Allstars was a further expansion to DotA, revived by IceFrog in 2005; IceFrog had little to do with the first initial DotA (2003) in Warcraft 3. Guinsoo works for Riot (League of legends); So to say, Guinsoo was the original, and technically, League of legends was intended as the "upgrade" to DotA, not a coppy. And IceFrog is not the "true DotA Guy."

hey uh how do they do that stutter attack almost when a creep gets low to assure that they're going to get the final hit? like they go to attack and make the attack stutter until the creeps low enough

@laxfan727 since u wrote this a week ago im sure youve gotten the answer by now..though if not, you simply press S before your attack lands and it cancels it. rapid alternation between right clicking and S will result in a kind of stutter and if utilized correctly can be used to time your attack perfectly for that last hit

For all of you that don't know, Dota is what came before both LoL and HoN. To be honest, I love play League of Legends but Dota is just much more challenging and fun. There are more character comps, there's more emphasis on basic attacks, ganking, neutraling, etc. In LoL, team fights do not last that long, but in Dota there is more complexity in fighting. One of the most important things is that there is creep denying in Dota which makes everything harder.

@Pokerman2280 The original DoTA devs made LoL. They did say why they removed denying. In DoTA1, games could last for hours as all people did was deny and so no one got gold or exp for a while. They removed it to speed up the game.
