Im starting field lacrosse this tuesday in british columbia, i have played for 6 years and im 12 years old...all of my friends say field takes wayy less skill and it is so much easier, but i dont know what your talking about with the bad habits. I hope it doesint come into play with me in field cause ive been playing box lacrosse for 6 years.

And yeah it is a easy way to get bad habits, thats why you got to practice and get good otherwise those bad habits really make you look like you suck badly. I personally have no bad habits in box lax but that's the way it is...and yeah Gait's played box and they are the greatest so I think it's the player not the venue.

Box lax doesn't even require an off hand. It's a breeding ground for bad lax habits. Most teams with primarily Canadian rosters have done poorly. Canadian lax is a different game. They even use different sticks and are much more physical. Field lax is the true form of the game. Box lax is just a spin off of a great sport.
