Gonzales gave a judgeship to Jay C. Bybee in exchange for writing a recommendation for torture; Bybee was given the judgeship for justifying war crimes! And when he did that, he got the judgeship!
Atty Gen Holder is using Bybees coerced memo as reason why he will not prosecute Bush-Cheney & CIA!
So in the White House, if you want to break the law, just bribe a lawyer to write you a letter saying it is OK!
USA gives tours of the crime scene, but no one is going to be arrested for the crime!

Yes...that is so right, I can only hope that we as a nation will pay billions in reparations to the thousands...uh hundreds, I mean dozens....er, three individuals who were so cruely water-boarded by the Bush adminstration. In fact I just heard that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed recently had to hold his breath to the point of mild discomfort while shampooing his beard in the shower and all those horrible memories came rushing back to him. Allah bless that poor dear man.

I don't believe that we'll ever see Bush, Cheney or anyone of the higher ups at the Pentagon or DoJ put on trial for war crimes. That only happens to the bad guys who loose a war. Turley's reference to Nuremberg and the prosecution of the worst Nazis was right on point. But then it were the Americans, British, French and Russians who decided what would happen. Who is going to have the authority and the power to take on the superpower?
