This has not been flown since about 1978 , during the filming of the movie for TV Winds of Kitty Hawk-
- the builder Tom Valentine sold it in about 1984 as a NON-Flying replica -
The engine originally did not have an electric starter - it was prop spun start-
The starter may have been mounted onto the flywheel - this modified FORD model A 4 cylinder engine
was found covered and stored in an old hop up garage in North Hollywood in about 1976.
