I have experience with being argumentative with social workers and being committed for mania...

basically, if you feel like shit, don't tell them off or argue... you will get dx'd and locked up and they will push your buttons...

wow! it always amazes me that people still repeat the chemical imbalance lie. the chemical imbalance bs was disproved already back in the 1980ies. NIMH doesn't believe in it, the APA doesn't believe in it, nobody with a reputation in the field believes in it. But unless you catch them somewhere discrete, and wave the science right in front of their face, they won't admit to it. Because there's something more important than the truth, more important than lives: money.

With legal cannabis we can help ourselves much like we do with caffeine in the morning. But of course this would make many psycho-wards have to close down. And we cant have that!! People should in no way feel that they can help themselves,when trouble arises. We need educated fools to take care of us and who can prescribe hard drugs to cope with our most horrible disorder. @sticksbass I know that they lead to suicidal thoughts and a depression of the ability to dream and feel joy. A friend of mine was turned into a zombie by the doctors,and he finally committed suicide.

I have seen a high spirited boy turn gray,after being in" treatement".

This is what i know. Modern medicine really really sucks.

i used to visit a place where mostly mental patients would meet weekly or bi-weekly and some did seem zombied out on their meds. and at least 4 or 5 people who id see or talk with commited suicide. i wonder if all of them smoked marijuana any time in their lives. i know i didnt feel suicidal until after i started smoking it at 15.

The reason your bipolar does not spread is because its not a virus, a bacterie or a cell with uncontrolled growth. It is a abnormality in brain chemistry.

Psychiatry has been around for over 200 years and still no cure.

Fair enough but they haven't even got a biological test. You see with cancer there's no cure but at least they know what causing the illness. If you have cancer you may be told you only have a month to live because they can see the illness with a microscope. Psychiatry on the other hand never tells a patient "your bipolar has spread and you only have a month to live". Why?

Also if you type in "psychiatry past to present" on this YouTube web site you can see a documentary showing what psychiatry has done over the years. For you to advocate in favour of psychiatry is irresponsible.
