@ashiinthehouse Taylor DESERVED this, especially after her excellent year in 2009, but Shania Twain was actually the first person to make country really popular and mainstreamed the genre itself. Then Faith Hill followed, then Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift BOTH were the ones to bring country to the forefront of the music industry. Just saying that there were many other females who opened the doors for the Underwoods and Swifts of this generation.
