Placebo is really good but like in fact the cause they are a band called "Placebo" and not just a singer +band like "Brian Molko and Band (or Placebo)" is exactly this:

He is a good singer but O'Connor in terms of technic and voice is one of the best singer and songwriters of the last 50 years. + This is a song written for singers on the highest level and if you're not able to match it exactly it just sounds not very good. Not that a good choice. Sorry.
