  • i hav

CPU- AMD 965BE stock ghz (3.4ghz)

    RAM- 2gb DDR3 1333mhz

GPU- Saphire 4850 512mb stock speed

    PSU- 430watt thermal master

    Mobo- Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H

When i put Warhead on mainstream it hangs and i get about 12fps, when i put on gamer its unplayable. when i put my xfx 8800gts i run smooth on gamer. i changed cards back to the 4850 and still shitty fps on mainstram. do you have any idea why? im confused :\ (also for people who arnt sure, 4850 beats the 8800gts)

  • @leachinfested Don't know if anyone helped you since you asked for help, but from what I could guess is that your HD 4850 is running in Hybrid Crossfire with the HD 4250 IGP in your motherboard. Since Crossfire doesn't work with your 8800 GTS (it's a GTS right, not GT?) there's no problem. Disable Hybrid Crossfire and it should work fine with the 4850.

  • @DerWeasel7 yeah i never enabled the hybrid crossfire. the problem is my power supply. seeing how the 4850 needs more power then the 8800gts it hangs. my systems downfall is its generic brand psu. all good considering im gettin a 750 watt corsair this week :D

  • @leachinfested (slaps self) It occurred to me why. The 8800GTS (both G80 & G92) takes more power at maximum than the 4850, but its power is divided between 2 PCI-E connecters rather than just 1. With only 1 on the 4850, it demands a higher level of amps on that single connector, and the PSU wasn't able to meet the requirement. It explains it all. (I looked at hwcompare(dot)com to find each cards max TDP)

  • Im playing on

    Gts 450 1gb ddr5

    Amd phenom x6 3.35 1055t

    8gb ddr3

    750 watt - Ultra

    Asus m4a89td pro/usb 3.0

  • Can i run this game with:

    Intel Celeron E3300

    2.94 GHz (OC)

    2 GB of RAM

    HD 4850 1GB

  • @031281670 .........Celerons is like eating pizza thru a straw, yeah you get pizza but its bottlenecked. Get a Phenom x4

  • @ViciousAlienKlown I will get a e7400 or 7500

  • q pichudo!!!!!!!!

  • K, I know that Phenom II's can work on both AM3 and AM2+ sockets, but can i get a Phenom II to work on a AM2+ mobo without doing a BIOS update? I'm guessing no, but i could be wrong. Im asking this because my mobo (ECS 6100PM-M2 v2) doesnt seem to have a bios update for phenom II support, but there is a v3 of my board that supports Phenom II. Any thoughts?

  • This has to be easy mode .....

  • How are the graphics set in list? like: Low-Medium-high-....-......-....-

    Please help

Will it run on this system?

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3,2 GHz)

    4096 MB DDR3

    ATI Radeon HD4850 (1.024 MB)

    AMD 770 chipset

  • You will be able to run the game on high or very high depending on the resolution that your running pretty good with those specs. This video was done with a custom config file they can be found everywhere.

  • hey nice vid man

do you think the game will run on these settings ?? Aspire G7200 AMD Quad-Core X4 9750 4GB DDR2 AMD Phenom X4 quad-core processor 4GB DDR II SDRAM 800MHz

    ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB DDR3

    thnx for your help

  • man , i have the same tipe of your procesor ( quad core amd pheom 9750 2.41 ghz ) , 4 gb of ram , and a nvidia 9600GT 1 giga ram , and is running ALL GAMES ON MAX SETTINGS !!!!!!!!!! , OF CORSE RUNNING :))

  • stupid qestion.

you will run it on high or very high

  • Comment removed

  • Uh no, the most power he's pulling out of that rig is about 400w.

  • im gona fry your brain cuz your one of the dumbasses that would buy a 800w psu for a sytstem like this that only needs a max of 400w like the guy below said, I HAD 2 4850S ON MY OLDDDDDD ASS 500W GENERIC PSU ok you dont know shit

  • well thats not nice

  • i have this pc:

AMD Phenom 9650X4 2.3 GHZ, 2x2 gb of memory ram "SuperTalent" ddr2 800 mhz, K9A2 CF v1.1 , ATi HD 4870 512 MB DDR5 , 500 GB HD 16 MB, Windows 7 RC Build 7100 , and i can play Crysis at 45 fps in enthusiast settings , gta iv in 33 fps , i was thinking about change my processor to a Phenom II 965 , is really bigger the difference in games?

Godbye, Nacho from Argentina , 14 years.

  • why to change if you get good fps with that rig? :)

  • CPU - AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 6000 3.1GHz (soon to be phenomII940)

    RAM - Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2

GPU - 2 ATI Radeon HD 4850's 512MB In CrossfireX

    Mobo - ASUS M3A32-MVP

    PSU - CorsairTX 650w

    Case - Antec 900

    Monitor - Ancient....

i dont to good with my setup.. but will when i get my 940 :)

  • I have: CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.21GHz RAM - 2048MB DDR 400 GPU - XFX GeForce 8800GTS Alpha Dog Edition Mobo - Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe PSU - Ultra X2 550W Modular Case - Ultra Aluminus HDD - Seagate Cuda 320GB SATA-II Monitor - Acer AL1916W 19" LCD I can play Crysis @ 1440x900, all settings on Very High (with Ultra cfgs) and 2xAA... at about 30fps. And they told me I need a beast to run the game? Shit, it's an old socket 939 with 400MHz RAM and it plays it well.
  • i was talking about maxed out lol cfgs doesnt mean you got it maxed out ^^

  • to imtomcom, if I were you I would go for the phenom ll 940 because the phenom lls are good overclockers, and quad cores would be much better in the future. Plus, the 940 has similar clock speeds to the e8500, and the 940 is a quad. Guess what? 940 ftw. Also, the e8500 is overpriced since Intel is known for bluffing their product prices. Personally I like to save money and get the same performance as Intel by going AMD.

  • Good video!Quad-core Gaming preffering! :)

  • should i get the phenom 940 or the intel e8500?

  • phenom 940 diffently it will blow the e8500 with its 6mb of l3 cache

  • if you want to play games the e8500 would be alot better.. if what you do is to work on renders and programs.. you should go for the 940

  • i have this cpu is it that bad?does the "bug" affects nthe performance that much?

  • yes it does mostly when gaming is when you'll notice it, google tlb disable tool, it's a program that will remove the patch.

  • a patch to what?

  • ohhh.i get it...but i guess i´ll need a hand on this one

  • tlb disable tool is very easy to use, add it to your startup and you'll only have to worry about if its working or not if you put the pc on standby. my 9500 scored 23000 on 3dmark vantage :D

  • is this dx9 or 10?

  • Sounds like my old setup...Had a 9500, crossfire 3870s and the same msi motherboard...

Then I upgraded to my 9850, crossfire 4850s and a DFI crossfire board, really helped things out.

And, just like you, I've been thinking of changing over to intel instead of bumping up to the phenom 2.

But for now, I'm sticking with a spider setup.

  • have you had any problems with the phenom X4 9500??

  • I haven't had any problems with it, but it is a bottleneck for my crossfire. I'm building an intel rig this week the phenom II isn't exactly what I thought it would be.

  • Nice man. you sound lucky. i bought the 9550 i hear its easliy overclockable and more stable. what are you going to do with your old parts??

  • I'll be selling my motherboard and my phenom the reat of the stuff I'm keeping for my new mb ASRock P45XE, I've heard people can get the 9550 up to 2.7-2.8 fairly easy.

  • The 4850 was the best investment I made honestly.I bought it for 120 dollars brand new when Circuit City was going out of business.I was going to go with the phenom 2 but that means I probable have to upgrade the motherboard and I don't honestly want to spend extra cash, since I rebuilt my computer 4 months ago

  • is the 9500 a 125 W CPU? cause I have the same mobo, and they say it has some problems with 125W CPU's

  • The 9500,9550,9600, and the 9650 are 95w,the rest are 125 or 140.They released a v2 of this motherboard which can support the higher models so if you bought yours recently you might have the v2.

  • is dis set on UBER MAX??? if it is, ati-amd stuffs works WONDERS!

  • very hight ?

  • ya im just running an x2 for know, and im waiting for am3 phenom 2 x4 945

  • dude you should have waited for the phenom 2 series.. way better, with higher clocks and better oc potential

  • I built this computer when the phenom II wasn't even heard of like when the phenom's first came out, I plan on upgrading when the new ones come out.

  • the 4850 is better than the 3850 right?

  • way better.the 387x2 is like 10% faster than the 4850 so....

  • yes much better

  • wow, i have almost the exact same specs as you except oc'd my 9500 to 2.40 not 2.20ghz

  • That's cool man, my phenom doesn't seem to overclock that well I'm gonna upgrade when the new phenom come out. I'm running crossfire now so I can play at my native res of 1920x1200.

  • what setting you have very hight ? and 1650x1050 or not :) , nice video

  • Should cost me about $350 on Newegg Canada. While the GTX 280 is still about $500~ here in Canada. Saves me a good $150 that I can spend on a new power supply or something.

Anyways my resolution is 1600x100 so crossfire 4830's will be MORE then enough.

  • The new Asus 4830 that just came out looks interesting. It was released with GDDR3 clocked @1,000mhz/2,000mhz effective. That's insane for factory settings. Which means when I get my first 4830 all I have to overclock is the core to about 700mhz.

Once overclocked to 700mhz the 4830 is on par with the 4850. Think about it 2 overclocked 4830's in crossfire. Makes me droll just thinking about it. $240 crossfire solution that WILL outperform the GTX280.

  • The reason I m going with the 4830 and not the 4850 is because of the price. Because I live in Canada and over here there is like a $40~$50 difference. If I were able to pick up a pair of 4850's for under or around $400 then I would. But the only crossfire set up I can afford right now is the 4830's. Once again though, 4830's still perform VERY WELL for the price your paying.

The cheapest 4850 here is $215 after shipping handling tax and everything. 4830 is about 175 after everything.

  • pfffttt fucking liar. I m going with a 4830 Crossfire set up. I got an X2 4800+ @3.2ghz right now. But once Deneb comes out I will need to pick up another PSU. So I will be able to run my Deneb and 4830 Crossfire set up. Going to push my Deneb to 4.00ghz with my Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer ; )

  • awesome! Hey u think the the 4850 could run on a 550 watt power supply

  • Yes that's more then enough power for the card, I used to run it on a 430watt.

  • thx for ur help man..! :)

  • oh..what brand u using man?
