  • Wow, this was a crappy year for music.

  • so good, everyone here got to enjoy their whole 6 months of the 80's. Yes I'm here for the same reason as Wolfdrugs and the others. Funny thing, for this being the number 1, we all had to search it to find out exactly what song it was.

  • Three Cheers for Glenn Quinn!

  • 17 people are still po'ed that the dishes are broken.

  • I'm a dishwasher, I just realized the best way to quit when that day ever comes. I'LL JUST START THROWIN' SHIT.

  • @chkalog A friend of mine who borned 1990, she used the same Facebook app then get another song about that day and you can't even believe the different between 90's and 89. It's like in 1 year all of the songs just started becoming disgusting..

  • Love this song!!

  • @Wolfdrugs 18.6.1989.?

  • I remember him back from the 80's and early 90's. I was born in 1977 so i was a 80's and 90's kid and i would change being raised in those decades for anything.

the 80's and 90's is when music was real.

  • <ray bom bom macini....

  • This is my favourite song from Richard Marx.

  • The pool player is Glenn Quinn (Marc) from Rosanne, he died of a drug overdose in 2002, sad really he was so cute..

  • 4:19 YEOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!

  • There must be more to living than 9 to 5^

  • Late 80's to early 90's, with bands like Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Marx at the top of their games and films like Beverly Hills Cop and Lethal Weapon that could be watched consecutively for years.

Freaking awesome time to be alive.

  • ali i am very satisfied with all of my purchases!!!! lol

  • Fantastic rhythm guitar by Marx!

  • hi

  • need herb

  • very satisfied with my new life

  • Marx always had such great guitar in his songs back in those days. Whether it was that crystal clear rhythm guitar tone in songs like "Endless Summer Nights" or the harder edged, crunchy sound of songs like this one, the guitar parts really stood out & amplified the awesomeness of his songs. I wish artists today could produce a melodic rock song with that kinda sound but I guess that type of sound died with the 80's cuz even artists like Marx don't even do it anymore.

  • I used to have a Picture Music International HiFi VHS Stereo video of Richard Marx videos and this was one of the vids on it! I like the idea behind it as Richard says"when you are working hard, those moments when you are not you should enjoy and savour to the full", and he's damned right too!

  • @AnthonyUK Thanks for posting that. At first I didn't understand what the images in the video meant. It makes sense if the video has that theme. Because if you just follow the meaning of the lyrics, you wouldn't settle for a job you don't enjoy in the first place.

  • pezzo di figo clamoroso.

Peccato sia famoso solo quasi per le ballate, xché alcuni dei suoi pezzi pop/rock erano davvero notevoli. Questo un esempio lampante.

  • I bought the CD "Richard Marx Greatest Hits" and I had three tracks I always listened to from it: "Now and Forever", "Hold On To The Nights" and "Take This Heart", though, one day, and I'm still not sure how, despite having only those three programmed, once "Take This Heart" finished, "Satisfied" started up, so, being a fan of his, I listened to it.

It has since become not only one of my all-time favorite tracks by him, but one of my favorite tracks of all time! :-)

  • I lovd this song when it came out and still love it today...I actually had the chance to see him live back in 1990...He was very good .

  • 13 folks aren't satisfied with Richard's song. He hit #1 in Billboard, 6-24-89. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • as the song title says, listen to it, and you'll feel satisfied...

  • Great times

  • Groove tastic

  • 12 People arent satisfied yet

  • I was born in '91, but sometimes I think I was born too late, cause I really enjoy Richard Marx's music.

  • I still love this man's music, LOVE IT!! He's got the kind of talent that most artists these days don't have!

  • EXTREMELY talented....

Almost 20 years later and STILL loving it!

  • Ray Boom Boom Mancini, kool, great video.

  • That's the most amazing mullet ever.

  • That's the most amazing mullet ever.

  • Haven't even thought about this song in 15+ years. It just popped in my head a few minutes ago. I don't know why but I'm sure happy about it!

  • Retro Song of the Day....One of my faves from my favorite adult summer, the summer of '89. Always reminds me of the beach and still being young and still enjoying life. "Satisfied" is from Richard Marx's second album, Repeat Offender, which went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

  • Richard Marx is 1 of only 4 artists ever in pop music history to have 3 or more songs reach #1 on Billboard in the same calendar year. The others, The Beatles, Madonna, and Boyz II Men.

  • @Grapes428 He's in good company there. I thought Mariah would be there, but I think her run of 5 number ones spanned 1990/1 (and I's listening to the American Top 40 then and it may have run on diff stats)-Daz in Oz.

  • Good old "feel good" Music!.. love the 80's

  • You know, I never associated this song with Marx. So much of his other stuff is soft and mellow. Good to hear him rock out more.

  • been over 16 yrs since i heard most of these 80s tunes man the memories are flying back in

  • I wont give up!

  • chesy nothing. makes think of someone i know

  • 11 folks weren't satisfied with this song. Billboard's 733rd #1 hit of the rock era. God bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it!

  • One of those songs you can play air guitar to, cool

  • Goodness me, how I love this powerful song of his. Here in Germany the radio stations only know resp. appreciate his soft side. Pity!

  • richard marx is a good like his music...but i thing brian adams is better

  • He is the best

  • This song is amazing!!!! Heard it for the first time today!!! :D

  • @WriterAtHeart21

Good for you! go listen a few more, you'll love him!

  • @borntorun76 I loved him the second I heard him, and I was only two! :)

  • @WriterAtHeart21 how old ar u?

  • Sounds like elevator music.

  • elevator music

  • What a haircut Richard!!!!! LOL

  • unreal

  • LOVE THIS SONG!! LOVE RICHARD MARX!!

  • At 2:26 it's Glenn Quinn. He plays Doyle in Angel. I miss him...

  • @Anathwin i love Glenn Quinn in Roseanne and Angel. it's sad that he died

  • THIS would be a great intro song for a UFC fighter!

  • Richard Marx's non hit songs are 100,000,000 times better than anything i've heard in pop music in the last 17 years

  • Richard Marx rocks my world from the 90's

  • I grew up in the 80s and I think this video and song is cheesy. I remember I was in middle school when it came out, thought it was OK then, now I think it would fit in as a punch line or gag in a Wil Ferrell movie.

  • ahhhhh the memories of the mid 80s! great decade to be a teenager! teens of the 90s and today missed it. oh well! nowadays it's all about cel phones and fbook. no face to face interaction.

  • love the 80s, i had the biggest crush on Richard Marx when i was 10 lol!

  • sounds like AOR

  • @herzlos07

Many of his songs sounds like AOR.I would say He's mostly AOR

  • @herzlos07 It is AOR

  • @herzlos07 will I sound stupid if I ask what AOR is?

  • @africanchick23

AOR means Adult oriented Rock. It's a bit difficult to explain. It's a concept that was born in some radio stations. It means kinda Soft rock music,it's not POP,but it's kinda Soft Rock, sometimes it's really close to POP but it's not.

  • @borntorun76 oh, thanks for answering, I had never heard of it. If that's the definition, then I like AOR. XD

  • @borntorun76 sorry for late reply, but thanks for the answer.

  • @africanchick23 Actually AOR was a 70's radio term for ALBUM Oriented Rock..When FM was just really trying to establish itself, quite a few AOR stations featured album cuts instead of the singles that AM radio played at the time. Marx is an Adult Contemporary artist. - Mark Gunn: Veteran Radio Programmer.

  • @africanchick23 ... It's actually an acronym for "Album Oriented Rock." In radio circles, that is.

  • I love this song it's just so catchy! I wish I would have lived in the 80s =(

  • simply , richard is the best

  • It's great to hear this again...Richard's music still sounds as fresh today as it did back then..... as they say Great music NEVER dies... Rock On People

  • @scooterscreamer Hey I love Richard stuff too, but Bing Crosby would sound fresh with all these Boy Bands and Brittney clones in the top 40 LOL.

  • great song

  • All music should sound so GOOD, & AWESOME!!!

  • This one sounds like a real 80´s pop rock. It´s good to hear it again, it brings so many memories.....!!!!

  • thnk you.

  • Boom Boom Mancini!

  • Reminds me of better times!

  • Hit#1 pop, #5 rock in Billboard. God bless!

  • Like I wrote before, music back in the 80's had this natural authenticity, real depth, sublime sense of wonder & this much better sound than most of the vapid, negative, generic sounding crap that's been cranked out over the past 7 or 8 years. Bring back the 80's!!!

  • Feel-Good 80s tunes, please come back!!!!!

  • Americans as a whole need to be more fully saturated with music such as this more often, for it's so feel good, uplifting & thoroughly satisfying ((no pun intended!)). For when R Marx is on, he's on!

  • MACGRUBER!!!! MAKIN' 80'S STYLE ROCKVIDEOS!

MACGRUBER!!! IT'S ALL BUSINESS IN THE FRONT HE KEEPS THE PARTY IN BACK!!! MACGRUBER!!! HE'S MAKIN' FUCKIN MUSIC VIDS!

    MACGRUUUBERRRRR!!!!

  • ew this was number r1 they day i was born

  • the 80s are and always will be the one of the few best decade for music

  • Ah, the late 80's, this awesome & great time to be alive! For the economy was more robust, the middle class was stronger & the music was much better! What more can I write???

  • richard marx is brilliant.

  • This is one GREAT, inspirational song!!!

  • Although it may sound somewhat corny & cheesy to some, wonderful music such as this can really lift the spirits, nourish the soul & induce many feel good emotions & sensations! Believe me, when compared to much of the generic sounding, computerized crap that's been cranked out over past 10 years songs like this can really inspire, as there was this real depth, authenticity, sublime sense of wonder & way better sound to music 15, 20, 25 & 30 years ago!

  • No that's not Johnny Depp.

That was Glenn Quinn on the video. U might know him better from the T.V Show "Roseanne", he played Mark. Or in "Angel" as Doyle

  • you can't really hear that effect on this medium, but listen to

the CD and you will hear it.

Michael Landau's guitar leads make this song/record. So does

Bill Payne's B3 on the end of the song.

This song got some flack for being too reminiscent of the

Tubes "She's a Beauty" track that Foster and Steve Lukather

    did for/with Fee Waybill.

  • People...listen up. THIS is how you should know about

Randy Jackson from American Idol. Not from being

a talent judge...but for being a great bass player. Listen

to the way they doubled his bass on the end of the song.

    Cool effect, no?

  • I must say this song hits my musical G-spot! The groove is infectious - so funky!!! Yes indeed I am TOTALLY SATISFIED!!! Thank-you Richard Marx!

  • Great Song, Richard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome song ! :)

  • great song!

  • I had the same hair in my wedding pictures. No band does the "chicka chow, chicka chow" with the guitar anymore and I miss it.

  • Man! can he sport a mullet!

  • Saw him at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in the early 90's, I couldn't get my girlfriend's attention all through the concert - she was awestruck.. He is a criminally underrated singer/songwriter.

  • @clunk99 hes the best in the world.

  • 80's legends= Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Eric Martin, Dave Coverdale, Richard Marx, and the incedible Ray Gillan

  • @EmotionalShredd Steve Perry 70's Legend actually

  • Hit #1 in Billboard.

  • Like him or hate him, the guy is a very talented singer/songwriter.

  • You know. One thing i learned with the 1983 Album Reach the Beach by the british Band The Fixx is listen to the entire album and not just the hit song from the album. I new when i was heard of Richard Marx I would do just that. I listened to not only this song here but the rest as well. Satisfied and the Repeat Offender is one awesome album. Keep on Rockin Richard Marx.

  • That's right

  • 2:27- Doyle! Glenn Quinn! I looked this up just for that purpose. Sounds like a good song, though.

  • @BonesandDoyleRock

You´re right, i thought he looked familiar, didn´t remember the real name of the actor who was Doyle in Angel. Some of ya might already know this, but unfortunately Glenn Quinn died because of a drug overdose ( Heroin ) in December 2002, he was 32 years old

  • We all know who Glenn M Quinn was and I was upset when he died. If I remember correctly it was an accidental overdose of heroin. I remember watching a biography of him on the Blvd of broken dreams series and they said he hid a lot of things he dealt with emotionally from his family and friends. Maybe god will let him shine tomorrow. R.I.P.

He was great on Roseanne by the way.

  • @Metalitron12 , yeah really sad poor glenn.

  • Great mullet.

  • One of my favorite songs. Thanks for posting.

  • I guess Richard Marx is a big fan of pool (billiards)? LOL

  • Not a big Richard Marx fan at all - something of a discount Kenny Loggins to these ears - but this was just one of those moments when everything went right - great song goes straight to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 where it belongs.....absolutely dripping with the influence almost never mentioned, Peter Frampton - that hook is right outta Peter's bag o' tricks!

  • His best song.

  • Other good ones are: Endless Summer Nights; Should've Known Better; Angelia; Hazard(I swear I left her safe n sound); Keep Coming Back. Check them out!

  • hey this is good stuff it aint cheesy! this is 80's and it rocks! i always prefer marx' rocky tunes to the slow ones.this and the opening track nothing you can do about it are just awesome!this was a U S no.1 .the ballad right here waiting was the single in the uk where only his slow tunes get played!mike landau guitar solo terrific!

  • Both Rock and slow tunes are fabulous in Richard Marx.He has the right feeling.

  • @MrTonedeff put out in 1990

  • @logalyn this album came out in 1989 sir i remember buying it check out the cover.this track may have charted a year later possibly so i see what you mean. but i know the album from 89'. too late to say goodbye is a better song by far!

  • Very cheesy dated stuff but the chorus is a great bit of pop writing.

  • What a beautiful, uplifting & quintessentially late 80s song! For that generally feel-good, vibrant & vigorously upbeat & unique 80s sound is wonderfully encapsulated within this truly positive, euphoric inducing tune! Why can't music these days ((since the mid 90's!)) be as original, fun-loving, carefree & full of genuine character? For much of the music that came out back then had this natural authenticity, real depth, sublime sense of wonder & this superb sound to it, much like this song!

  • dont yu know.. this is one of the best songs of all time

  • LMAO SgtVlach...me 2...not Johnny Depp....Glenn Quinn from Roseanne

  • don't stop going after the life you want for yourself until your satisfied.

  • Not sure about everyone else featured in the video, but those boys at 3:33 were definitely satisfied.

  • The Feel Good 80's, please come back!!!

  • i second that!

  • that guy at 2:26 is mark from roseanne thats the only reason i watched this video

  • is that johnny depp in the richard marx video?

  • Johnny Depp where?Which minute?

  • I think it might be him, not sure, it's in the pool table scene.

  • @Gothiczartan Nope, that's Glenn Quinn, young and with big 80's hair. RIP Glenn.
