  • It's kinda funny seeing all you military wannabes posting shit about the National Guard. If its sooo easy then why aren't you doing it?

  • dunno if there are sharks in the area but the exercise shoulda included a swim to shore

  • @dumaznbum it's the keys there are tons of bull sharks but i agree did you see how fat they were

  • @Chroma2021 more than likely, he could possibly be a senior member who got stuck in an administrative position and got a bit chubby... plus they ARE national guard so...

  • @offroaddude333 *facepalm* yes cuz then they wouldn't be SF but the point is they get to see their families go do fun sht and true SF soldiers are always on the frontlines for months on end

  • Woahwoahwoahwoooooaaaahhh when did national GAURD get an SF unit? WTF lemme get this straight... A soldier will work his ass off from the ground up see combat daily always have to worry about getting killed inorder to obtain that patch and name but a fatass who spends 80 percent of his time at home eating and watching tv and kicking back gets it????? That's Fucked up....

  • @DestroyTheseWalls no they go through the same selection and training as army SF

  • @DestroyTheseWalls do you know how retarded tyour statement looks..

  • @DestroyTheseWalls you fucking retard shut the fuck up!!!!!!!!

  • 2:05 why is that person jump out of airplane with tennis shoes? won't it be hazardous and increase the chance of injury?

  • SGT First Class - that's my brother I'm so proud of you!!

    Annette Rizzo Carroll

  • That's my brother - Yep!

  • I heard long tabbers are so bad ass, they were each born already circumcised...ready to fight!

Joking aside much respect for these guys. SFAS and the Q-Course are no joke.

  • Pretty Awesome.

  • HAHA bad motherfckers... jumping in tennis shoes. One day I'll be as cool as these guys.

  • HAHA I am currently deployed with this unit as support and all I can say is the 20th SF is the best of the best. I would not chose to be deployed with any other unit! If anyone knows the history of some of these guys in this unit, they would not talk shit. Some war hero's in there! I am not SF, I am not even in this unit. Just attached during this deployment

  • AMAZING IS ALL I CAN SAY

  • Not every state has SF Guard Unit

  • i can not wait for this

  • LMFAO were you buy that sneakers XD

  • one of them is wearin sneakers lol

  • the national guard get called up and die just as much as active duty personnel. It seems you all do not know.

  • Hey Jank, you whiskey tango clown...

These National Guard units are actually Green Berets from the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). The companies have six A-teams and have EXACTLY the same training as their active duty counterparts and can toast any non-special forces unit the Army can put forth in terms of raw ability. To be special forces in the 19th or 20th means way more than 1 weekend a month and two weeks a year.

Why don't you give it a shot tough guy. I am sure you will burnout.

  • @TheBadPhysicist hi sir, i was wondering once you finish your bct how can you aply or volunteer to be in the special forces since am intrested.

  • @naruto88uzumaki

First, you have to be in good shape. For good measure, I would be near a 300 on your PFT. If you are still a civilian but looking to go the active Army then ask your recruiter for the 18X option. If you are already in the Army then you might need to wait until you are an E-4. Read This:

    bragg (dot) army (dot) mil/sorb/SF_app_proceures.htm

If you are National Guard, then it's a bit more complicated and depends on what state the NG-SF unit you want to go into reisdes.

  • Cont...

For National Guard, some states' NG SF units hold an annual Special Forces Readiness Evaluation (SFRE), which is a one day smoke session designed to see if invited military personnel (mostly from NG but some from active Army looking to go-Guard, maybe a few Marines or Sailors trying out, and some prior service guys too) would be a good fit for one of their NG SF teams. Depending on the state, even some civilians are invited to the SFRE.

Whether you're a civilian or current soldier, you need to contact the desired NG unit and ask about SF, the unit, and any upcoming SFREs. They might email you an application. Send it back and, if they like what they see, you might receive an invitation to their next SFRE. Kick ass and if all goes well you drill with them as they prep you to pass SFAS, send you to Airborne school and maybe Warrior- or Advanced Leader Course. Then you are sent to the rest of SFQC.

  • @Jank143 - I was never N.G., I was R.A. but let me say this about the Guard. They provide up to 60% of the Army force in the current two wars. That means 60% of those doing the fighting and dying are Guard rather than Regular Army. They get deployed for just as long as anyone else and they see the same combat. They ain't no "cub scouts".

  • @swordofdixie Amen brother!!!

  • @swordofdixie I agree. I was with the guard in NY in an infantry unit and we train and fight just as hard. I was in Iraq for over a year.

  • @swordofdixie i wanna thank you for this comment. I get so much crap for joining the N.G. but you are absolutely correct in this statement. Hooah!

  • Wow. Things have changed. Back in the 80's when we jumped into Key West we never used any kind of helmet and never wore boots.

  • @swordofdixie

I think the Army changes things to preserve the longevity of the Solider.

  • 20th Group= the "White Welfare Group" full of "Guard Bums"

  • Mr1phoenix, if you listened, to the DZSO's commentary he stated that it was an 'administrative jump'. The primary aim of this op is to maintain jumper proficiency in the eventuality of an unintentional(ie emergency) water jump by troops, some of whom have never made a water jump. This SF Det.,I'm sure, also trains for tactical over-water airborne ops as part of it's overall mission. Great video BTW,thanks

  • you're an idiot.

  • watch your mouth funk ass

  • @Mr1phoenix Well that was as childish as it comes. Besides, I'm typing and not speaking. But, while we're on the topic, it has been my experience that the SEALs are the finest waterbourne, maritime special operations force in the world, but get them on land and I've seen leg units perform better than the SEALs in land navigation and small unit Infantry tactics. Which leads me to believe that you are an idiot who is no more than a 'wannabe'.

  • special forces, they have two national guard based detachments, i believe the 19th and 20th. 75th ranger regiment does not have any national guard based battalions

  • r these green berets or rangers?

  • @scubarocky69 green berets

  • some soldiers have RANGER and SF schools under their belt and make the best operators

  • sgt maj alan....thats my uncle!!

  • Ranger Jimmy is a stud

  • High Speed!
