@purpleweedfarm - I totally understand your feeling when someone tells that maestro is involved in plagiarism But sometimes the similarity is undeniable and Hava Nagila is so strikingly similar to this songs. Especially to "Soodana Pottalkaadu Joraka Thattippaadu" ... Ilayaraja might have researched some middle eastern music not similar to Arabic music but yet retains the quintessence of middle east and would have found this song... But it is better than the original,,, So cheers..
