I must be an ignorant git. I honestly never knew Towanda Barnes was the vocal on Ohio Players. I remember so well the time I heard You Dont Mean it. Bought it on the same night. Now Im not saying that was the way some Djs at Wigan operated. But it happened OFTEN!!

Wow man! A killer from way back when......but her name set off something in my head.....does anyone remember a track by someone called Towalla Lewis....or similar spelling???? THAT"S IT!!! I knew I had something in the spelling wrong.....you're a star.

Also I'm pretty sure this IS the Ohio Players, as the only vinyl I ever saw of this was a hand written acetate, and the vocal is very Ohio Players.

Obviously you know this is really the Ohio Players. It as always been announced as the Ohio Players. No doubt it sounds like Towanda on lead vocals, but as anyone ever said its her. Dont forget one of the guys in the Players. I think it was pee wee or something like that could sound very much like a female on the vocal side. Anyway always as been one of my alltime faves. Plus Towandas You Dont Mean It. This track was very rare on vinyl at one time. No doubt still is in most places....
