i agree with AbramelinBG, i grew up listening to this. Amorphis along with Eternal oath introduced me to the heavier types of metal,. i used to get a speciell feeling listening to Amorphis.Nowadays that feeling is gone.

I kind of hope they stay as "underrated" as they are now, because if everyone knew about them and liked them I'd be afraid that they'd sell out or become mainstream. Also I like going up to my friends and being the only one who's heard of Amorphis and being able to introduce someone knew to an amazing band such as this :)

People are so quick to abandon good bands because other people like them just as much, if not more than you do. Besides, the kind of people who stop listening to good music just because they're "popular" are pretentious snots who like to lord their music knowledge over somebody else. It's an insecurity thing.

Instead they care for music to be catchy and profitable. So they've become "mainstream" in a way. We'll probably never know the truth. But many bands that earlier were rather "underground" did the same - signed up with big label, and suddenly changed music to popular shit. Arkona, Skyforger...
