  • If the musicians aren't having a good time, the whole planet is fucked!

  • What a good point he makes at the end. If you can't have freedom in something that is so dreamy of a position to be in than what is the point? Is that why we don't see as many Pearl Jam vids from about 95 to '03? There's a huge hole in the documentation of the band's life as reflected on this site during that time period. Lots from the begging and from the latter part of the '00's.

  • When Eddy was talkin bout the wave, i thought he was was gonna say, "Where it takes me---eeee". Lol, you have to Know the album to get this...

  • For real. He is so distinguished but yet humble

  • Eddie is such a genuine guy! Id love to hang out with him!!!!! he is a great laugh! When he smiles it makes me feel like giving him a big hug!!!!

  • What I really liked and related to was what Vedder says about the relevance of songs and lyrics.. that to some degree you wish they would not be relatable to future generations, but they always are! Very thought provoking. It shows that human beings regardless of location or era will always be dealing with similar struggles that our forefathers and mothers did. He makes an excellent point in stating this.

  • I don't know why but Eddie makes me feel better when he talks :D

  • Nice and honest.

  • Oh, gosh, this interviewer annoys me... And Eddie is amused by his 90s history questions. Maybe he should ve done the research on contemporary PJ work before the interview.

  • TE AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

  • Ya for the kinks!

  • sounds like Bruno interviewing them!

  • it's all about freedom

  • and i wished i was alive when they were the shit, now there a band majority of teenagers dont even no of

  • He wanted to have seen Hendrix and The Who, I always wanted to see Aerosmith, GnR, Blind Melon, Pearl Jam... I just hope that my kids dont want to have seen Lady Gaga...

  • Thanks for posting. These guys are true artists and great people.

  • i love the reissues. i wish no code and yeild were reissued.

  • todos os grandes artistas deveriam ter a simplicidade de eddie vedder, assim suas bandinhas nao morreriam antes do tempo.

  • todos os grandes artistas pderiam ter a simplicidade de eddie vedder.

  • LOL why does just seeing Eddie smile or laugh put such joy in my heart? Oh Eddie the voodoo that you do...

  • They're right, not enough bands "just jam" anymore. People are too heavily reliant on digital media! But good music is out there and it's on the rise again! I want to ride the next big wave and I hope other people who've been inspired Pearl Jam will do the same!

  • @ThatLankyAfrican you said it man. i think the industry has lost its spark over the last 15 years. but i can envision a new underground revolution of bands who havent lost sight of the real picture and dont care about what the labels stand for ( conformity, image, and lack of adventure ) i think the real artists will realize they dont need the labels and digital filters, just their perseverance and ability to create, explore and play it raw. then the internet can be their big marketing tool.

  • honestly i would live during the the age of Pearl Jam,Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, rather than the time of Hendrix

  • Eddie looks like a cross between The Dude and late era Orson Welles here. Good company.

  • Eddie you are one of a kind which i always wanted to be with!!! You have the real art in you!! Just the movement of your lips says a lot about you!!!

  • I wish I could be Immortal and travel through time and see Hendrix,Doors, Young Pearl Jam and all other great bands out there. Unfortunately, that's not an option, so I'll have to stick to whats good in these times.

  • god his face when the interviewer mentions kurt cobain's death.. my heart breaks at 6:44 .. you know he's remembering the day he heard the news

  • "what about the plumbers, they're totally fucked"..... great quote was that Thomas Jefferson.

  • Eddie Vedder is The Dude!

  • killer boots man!!

  • @sydney83w Same here. I'm 16 and I was born 4 years after Pearl Jam had their first concert in Seatle.

  • I think it's hilarious when eddie talks about how he wish he was alive during hendrix, the who, etc., because that's EXACTLY what I was thinking while listening to pearl jam yesterday. I wish I could have gone to their concerts in the early ninties, but I'm only 14 and I'm worried they won't do many more tours.

  • So true, Eddie. Nice post.

  • thats funny, eddie says he wishes he were born earlier to see the who, i wish i were born earlier to see pearl jam

  • Such a beautiful soul.

  • isn't he jeffrey lebowski?

  • @tutuyin who???

  • Yes,Eddie is such cool for must listening that stupid questions.Fucking, boring Germans!

  • alot of science metaphors

  • haha classic vedder always makes references to the ocean and waves!!

  • @wweye always, always and always!!! lol

  • he's the dude man

  • @ohmah70 hell yeah.. reminds me of the lebowski dude

  • Thanks from Canada for posting this video!!

  • I think that Eddie is such a down-to-earth guy! I am so glad that he outgrew his early-to-mid 90's attitude. Granted, he's 45 years old now and of course he would have outgrown it to some extent anyway, but he has become such a damn likeable person!:-)

  • Sicne I was waiting for them on the Mike-side,they had to finish this interview and come out on stage: WHY GO HOME ????

:-)) It has been a perfect show.....

  • nice!!!!

  • is there no 3:e part?
