yeah right wtf, who cares about noise. especially right now. Most troops drive around trying to get shot at so they can find someone to arrest or take out.
Also, wouldnt it be just as easy to put the Mag bag into a pouch where you got it (assuming you are using a pouch with a bungee)
omg thats awsome i have never thought of that nor seen it in my battalion im defently gonna start sending this round good work mate. the only thing i can c wrong thou with this is what if u go to ground and u start lossing em but i guess that all comes down to where on ur webbing u place the caribena all in all good work mate no more stupid dupm pouches or tryin to stuff it back in the pouch u got it from while trying to get out ur next mag BLOODY AWSOME :):):):):):):):):):):):)
It always bugs me to see soldiers so casually tossing away their empty magazines, like they were as cheap, plentiful, and useless as spent brass --- those things are expensive, and the last time I saw a 30rd magazine for an M-16 for sale, it cost $15!
@UTGxFTW the point is we need to be drilling mag reloading/retention to a high level of muscle memory and speed--not mowing lawns and trimming branches on post...
@Tekmatic Dump pouches can DUMP your mags. Do you want a large pouch of mags at your waist/lower leg?

What benefit does this have over a dump pouch?
Tekmatic 1 year ago
@Tekmatic More secure retention of your mags.

depends on what body armour you have on most australian army i know stick them down the front of there shirt as i did back in the day
wilkoslavakia 2 years ago
that way when you have more then 1 magazine on the clip thay Bang to gether and make so much noise. good thinking but
the best thing to do with empty mags is stick them down a tucked in shirt
wilkoslavakia 3 years ago
By the time you've got two mags to bang together, you've already made 60 rounds worth of noise.
Sort of hard to shove empty mags into a shirt when you're wearing body armour.

We're not advocating mags be tossed into the shirt--clipped to a snaplink. Once firefight is underway noise is not a concern.

@sidescrollin No it isn't easy or prudent in danger and stress to put mags back into their pouches.
dynmicpara 1 year ago
or just use a dump pouch.

Yes that pains me to, i take the time to put them in a dump bag on my belt or back in a pouch.

if they dont recover them its one thing, but hey when your trying to not die your better off dropping them on the ground and keep going
