  • I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid. There was something about her that appealed to me and I had a 'thing" for this woman...now I remember why. It was her smile. :)

She used to hawk the Free Fair on Damen.. I kept telling my dad the fair was free and he kept telling me it was not but I told him that she said it was free on Ziggy Zoggo. Well, my dad finally took me and guess what? He was right--the fair was not free. I became disenchanted with her once she lied.

  • (continued) I watched this episode and it seems that she doesn't know her animals very well either. She referred to that one cat as a jaguar which I thought was found only in the South American region, not Africa. It looked more like a cheetah to me anyway. Also, she referred to the lioness as a "he." It sure looked like a female lion to me. Nancy sure was a "healthy" girl though. Lots of fun watching this clip though and after 50 years, I've forgiven her. :)

  • According to "The Golden Age of Chicago Children's Television," this ran from 1963-65 on WBKB (the ABC station at the time, now WLS). Nancy & Hal Berg had done a show in Scranton called "Hatchy Milatchy" and they reworked it for the Chicago market.

  • @LShackley RWSB1793. 02/11/21/2011 A.D. I WAS BORN IN CHICAGO AND I LEFT THERE IN 1967. I WISH THAT I KNEW WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO NANCY BERG AND WHY THIS PROGRAM DID NOT LAST VERY LONG.
