very cute my side neck loves worms! and fish and if hes not swimming alot it could be the water level becuase i know when i got my turtle it was low water but then i filled it up so he could actually glide in the water but still beable to come up and breath

damm tht turtle eats good..... my friends turtle wont eat and its not very active.... probably sick.... any ideas how to cure it?? it doesnt eat any of its pellets and the crickets.... (crickets arent live tho its dried...) sooo any ideas?? help meh!!!!

@96Lizardboy96 Unless you live in Africa, do not release it. From your above post sounds like he needs to try some live food. Not all of them will take the floating pellets. Try nightcrawlers,goldfish,live cricks.. If it's not swimming much and don't seem right then may want to consider a vet..

she was a rescue and I am not much into turtles. I gave her to someone into turtles. Torts can live 100+ years, this is a turtle and lifespan is not that long.

not everything is for handling but can still can be a rewarding species to keep. If your one of those people that has to be hands on with everything then you would want to stay away from certain species that are best not handeld. I must be honest though and say some of my fav herps that I have and have kept are ones that are not for handling
