the Z4 have a straight six, the M3 GTR have a V8.

the power should be the same, around 400hp...

Post race comments by Johannes Stuck : Of course I had high expectations coming back to the PETRONAS Primax 3 Merdeka Millennium race, especially with two cars this year. Unfortunately, both cars had mechanical problems during the race but everyone did an amazing job and I am really proud to have been part of it.

It was great to have had the chance to race with the PETRONAS Syntium Team again, with my teammates Taniguchi and Orido, who are excellent drivers and fun to hang around with, despite the obvious communication barrier. The race itself was really physically demanding and probably ranks up there as one of the most difficult and with 12 blisters on my hand to prove it, it is comparable to my experience at Tokachi last year, but I really enjoyed it!

Meh....... just another totally simple oversized big bad engineered engine V8 sound with exhausts.......

I prefer the unique and historic Flat-6 / Flat-8 / Flat-12 highly engineered and highly revving sound from the racing Porsches.....

@silentbuIIet - i have never heard of a porsche flat-8 or flat-12... maybe in some older race cars, but nowadays it is a v8 powering the lmp race cars and a classic flat-6 in the 911 series cars.

@hydrobionik: was it a prototype engine or was it actually used in a race car? if you mean the porsche 917s engine, it is a 180°-v12 and not a flat12, similar to the engine ferrari used in the Testarossa.
