  • Love that music.......... great!

  • AWESOME!!

  • Excellent playing.

  • what kind of whistle is that? I know it's a low F, but who is the maker? I don't think I'm going to be buying one, gotta save my money for a nice set of highland pipes!

  • @theherpman94, why on earth would you buy a set of Highland pipes?! Lol. Just kidding. I believe Will was playing a Phil Hardy "Chieftain" model. You could probably pick one up for around $150. maybe less used. It is always worth checking chiffandfipple for used deals.

    Best,

    Zac

  • @Legertymusic , Hahaa! yeah, I know they have a bit of a bad reputation, but when played well, they are one of greatest instruments. I think the only things that made me go for Scottish pipes as opposed to the Uillean were the facts that I already had a scottish pipe chanter, up's are so much more expensive, and my teacher lives 10 minutes away from my house. Up here in Maine, you can go a long way to find someone like that!

  • If we weren't 2000 miles apart, we would! Maybe someday.

  • Oh...it's awesome...How many years of practice to play like that ?

  • Well, it really depends on the player. I know I have been playing trad for about 12 years. Will has been playing since he was very young as well. If you love the music and put in the time, you will get there.

    Zac

  • I'll put the time. That's shake something deep in my mind. See you on youtube !

  • class

  • Absolutley love it... have you found the name to the first tune I'd love to listen to it !!!!

  • i mean learn it =)

  • It is called "Road to Errogie", bu Scottish fiddler Adam Sutherland. Flook has a great version on their "Haven" album. We play it here in Bb, as it is G fingering on an F whistle. Adam actually wrote and plays the tune in B major. There's a fiddle player for you!

    Cheers,

    Zac
