It is a fact that Obama promised he would sign such a law. That Congress never passed it and sent it to him for his signature means nothing. His pro-abortion record in he Illinois State Senate proves he has no respect for human life.

Of course, Obama lied and promised a lot of people he would sign a lot of laws. He promised illegal immigrant students he would sign the DREAM Act to give them amnesty, and he has not done that - because the bill has not passed in Congress.

You may want to look into the process of a "partial birth abortion" before endorsing it so vehemently:

The abortionist pulls the baby's feet from the birth canal, then one arm, then the other. The baby is alive, wiggling its arms and legs. Only the head remains inside the birth canal. The aborionist then pierces the bottom of the skull, near the neck, and spreads it open. This may kill the baby. If not, a tube is inserted and the baby's brains are sucked out to make sure it is dead.

Why is the video dumb? It's simply meant to inform voters that Obama will do away with all state abortion restrictions. Obama promised Planned Parenthood the first piece of legislation he will sign if elected will be the Freedom of Choice Act, which would overturn all state pro-life laws, including prohibitions against partial-birth abortions and parental notification requirements for minors seeking abortions.

If you don't believe Obama will sign that bill, it is you who are blind.

Do a search on nurse Jill Stanek. Or read the book, The Obama Timeline and educate yourself before making false statements.

@colony14 The Supreme Court decision from Planned Parenthood vs. Casey (1992) forbids any non-critical abortion of a fetus over 22 weeks. Give me just one authoritative example of where Obama has challenged that ruling, or stated that he intended to challenge it.

In the Illinois State Senate Obama opposed a bill that defined as a person a fully born baby who survives an abortion. Obama argued that defining a pre-viable fetus that survives an abortion as a person or child would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute. (Obama thus argued, We cant call it a person because then we cant kill it.)

You are missing the point, which is that the mother's life is ALMOST NEVER in danger... but the rules are abused to perform abortions on thousands of women in their late stages of pregnancy. I am not opposed to abortion in those RARE cases where it in fact it does save the mother's life. I am opposed to people gaming the system and abortionists lying about risks to the mother in order to "justify" the abortion.

Only 0.01% of abortions in the US are performed in the third trimester. (source: Abortion Statistics, Fox News). To me this seems like a low enough number to suggest real medical necessity. If you have evidence to the contrary, I'd like to hear it.
