Gloss over the lake and beach are opening line to a poem by Viktor Rydberg included in the novel, Weapon Smith, published 1,891th. In the novel, the poem has no title but the poem's title "Star of Bethlehem" appears first as a heading to Alice Tegner's famous setting to music in 1893 and has since followed by the text of several other compositions.
