I'm not saying this pertains to you because I don't know what led to your incident but this is what I saw when I was there: So many dumb tourists trying to interact with the orangutans when what you should do is keep a distance and OBSERVE, not interact! When do we learn?
From all I've seen and heard, Mina needs to be in captivity, as sad as it is to say that. If that doesn't happen, soon there will be much worse things happen than just getting jacked for your backpack. She's gonna seriously injure or kill someone sooner or later if she's not restrained.
Either that, or shut down the jungle to tourist trade. She can't hurt anyone if they're not there. What if she gets hold of someone's kid?
this is not funny at all...my friends got bitten by orang utan..and his leg are getting worst for 2 weeks.. i got butterflies in my stomach actually seing this.. lucky your friend handle it calmly so it wont REALLY attack...
@purpleglove21, your friend has been to the Dr., right? I hope? If not, he needs to go right away. He could lose his leg or worse, and he needs medical care if it's getting worse and not better.

Did u see how she kept hold of him while she reached for the food from the other guy? Also, she was not interested in the bananas that he was giving her. That was definitely an way to keep him in his place to show that she was in charge! How humbling. Obviously, he knew what he was doing. Nice hat...lol
@pizzapingvin I don't think you know about orangs. This female you see is stronger than five humans. Her jaws can eat the bark off a tree effortlessly. Also, she has FOUR hands. She's obviously semi-wild - since she knows how to unzip a backpack, 99% looking for food. I'm surprised she didn't rip the backpack off of him. One wrong move from the guides or the guy and he can have his neck ripped off. Google where Julia Roberts almost raped by one.
