LockOn has WAY better graphics, which provides a better sense of immersion, AND it is very good as asim as well. Teams like the 'Virtual Blue Angels' wouldn't choose LockOn if wasn't a really good simulator.

Yes, the gunsights are computer calculated. My personal favorite mode, the one you are seeing, is the EEGS mode (Enhanced Envelope Gun Sight). This mode projects a funnel on the HUD. The idea is to line up the funnel's lines with the target's wingtips, but that's pretty hard to do with a maneuvering target. I usually end up "spraying and praying."

@dreadedscorpion – the last time I was really into Falcon was years ago, but if I remember right only the latest CCIP blocks in Allied Force have HMCS. Design your own TE or start a 2010 campaign and you'll fly be able to fly one of those. As for the procedure: uncage your 9X, padlock that sucker, wait for the flashing diamond (and tone), and let 'er rip. I'm pretty sure it goes something like that.

The perfect glideslope btw is 2,5 degrees not 3. The AoA that I asked about, however is the differene in degrees between the FPM and the guncross, and at a perfect touchdown its at 11 degrees, placing the FPM on top of the bracket in the HUD.Letting the nosewheel touch at 300knots??Haha, which squadron do you belong to? Paperplanes squadron?You let the nosewheel touch the ground itself and it does this at 90-100 knots.Above 300 knots you will destroy your landing gear if its down.

To finish, the Preferred AoA (angle of attack) which, while it is the incorrect terminology, I know what you mean, it is to pull the gun cross up to the 10 degree pitch line to aero-brake the aircraft using a high form of drag, rather than use air brakes. The Nosewheel (NWS) can touch down at any speed horizontally, but it cannot be set down before the rest of the jet without plowing it into the ground.

The F-16C is the preferred model for combat, and it is my favorite jet. The F-16D, and the F-16B are not combat models, they are two seat modifications so a training pilot and an instructor can both fly, while the instructor pilot can use the FLCS to take over the jets control, when he needs to. The F-16 models do NOT have to burn fuel before landing, but it is much easier, and safer, without having external fuel tanks.

F-16"b" ha your funny. The prefered F-16 version fo rthe US is the F-16C/D, The f-16 requires fuel burn before landing to avoid excessive wear on the gears or worse, gear failure. The nosewheel will let itself down at 90-100 knots with the stick full aft.

After i installed the latest patch for this game, the AG radar doesn't seem to pick up signals from viecles!! they doesn't appear in the GM mode as they should after the patch, and the GMT mode doesn't pick up anything at all!! PS. The GMT mode picked up a couple of choppers??! Any help?
