what do you think melting ice will do to the areas that it flows to? Surely it will cool the water that it flows to. The weather that forms over this much colder sea will be colder as well. My weather station records temps every hour. Comparing Feb 07 to Feb 08, the 08 temp was 13.8 on average cooler. March was colder by 13.6 degrees. In 20 years, the avg mean temp will drop from an avg of 20 F to -110 F. Based on this raw data, we are entering an ice age.

Correct me if I am wrong. The ice has been melting for at least 10 to 15000 years or so. Most of North America was covered by ice at one time. One example is Central Park in New York has rock evidence of the glaciers that covered that area. But to these enviro folks it is a new thing with ice melting. More so, the arguement of CO2 levels increasing AFTER the temp increase (seeming to argue that temp increase CAUSES high CO2 levels is scientifically unsupported. What is supported are the feedback mechanisms that occur after CO2 levels force temperatures higher...such as melting permafrost and other biotic sources releasing HUGE volumes of methane from decaying organic matter. over 100's of years, the methane decomposes into CO2 (and H2O)...which possible explains the effect you allege.

Fact is, a warming similar to the last decade, though more rapid, occurred in the 1920s and was likely accompanied by the same glacier acceleration. All before man could have contributed. Global warming in Greenland my arse. Planes crashed in Greenland 60 years ago and have recently been dug up. Most of the people who put negative comments on this page either work for big gas and oil firms, are shareholders in these types of firms, don't love their kids, or don't have any, or are the type of person that if given the chose between saving a persons life or making loads of money would take the money.
