Depending on the level of the water, which fluctuates a lot, the bridge can be quite tall or very short. The water level is pretty low in this level. My dad owns a house just past the bridge, and I've seen this area when the water level is extremely low. There are some pretty jagged rock formations where you jump in. Not a big deal though... When the water is that low, no one would be jumping.
I knew a couple of friends that jumped off that they had bruises the size of their own thighs! lol don`t do that! P.S. its only 10 feet deep and 50 feet high!
I also live near the bridge, I know of two people that have died jumping off the bridge. If you are still going to jump do it when the water level is almost to top of the bridge!
dur cops dont care thats one of the jumping landmarks at norris but yeah its fun but they're hillbilly cops down there they dont know how to apprehend a jumper anyway what are they gonna say "hey you dont jump or else"
Yup, jumped off that same bridge probably 30 times. I did it in the late fall of 2007 when the water was down about 40 feet, now that my friends is a helluva jump.

yeah, the best jump ever on norris was the big ole rope swing at hickorystar! i miss it!!!!!

A buddy i used to play basketball with died when he jumped off a bridge into Norris Lake back in the 80s.
