@zeldafreak701 yes, she got a tattoo signifying the Olympics on her neck, it shows it specifically in her vault at the 2011 Visa's.. I think it was vault

@julianamliu You have to do two different vaults if you want to qualify for vault finals, the competition that decides the vault champion.

really al? her SV was way too low, and not even because cheng fei was there. there was no way in hell that alicia could have won a gold in 2008 on vault. great vaulter but definitely was not the best at the time.

I really dont think she ws robbed at the Olympics Chung Fei had two vaults that were more difficult than Alicia's. She had a .7 pad on the 1st vault and .2 on the 2nd vault. That's almost a full point Alicia gave away on difficulty. Chung Fei threw open the door with her fall BUT Alicia didn't walk through it because she didn't stick either of her vaults.

Haha, how hilarious is the commentator at 1:00. "But I think she got robbed". Dear, if someone were robbed in that Olympics it was Anna Pavlova! Wake up... Cheng Fei, even with a fall on vault got a very high score in her Amanar. But for me it would be ok if Alicia take the bronze...

@brdbarreira Alicia was totally robbed at the Olympics! Yes, Anna Pavlova was indeed robbed on beam as we all know, but no one should be on the podium with a fall. It has happened (Ferarri, Li Shanshan), but I don't think that's fair. Alicia performed two of the best vaults there (maybe not the most difficult), but she still did them very well and Cheng Fei did not.  It was probably a one-time thing for her, but her scores should not have been so high that she medalled.

@JohnPhilipSousa519 It is the same rule that allowed Nastia Liukin qualify for the bars final after a fall, in past Olympics with that landing in qualifying she would have struggled to qualify for the AA final, let along the bars final.
