@KanishaW916 It's Auntie Tina Dixon he/she, not sure lol, had some comedy records a long time ago. My Grandpa had the rarer one , Calling All Freaks, and I used to listen to it, learned a lot of dirty stuff from it, but fucking hilarious. 2live used her in a lot of songs, chemical brothers used her sample in a song, too.
Wow, they used 2 of the best rock intros in history illegally. Sweet Child O Mine and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love both beat the fuck out of this peace of shit wreck
Its songs like this that make it hard for a lot of this new shit to be innovative. Yeah the content was raunchy but this was a real fun time in hip hop.
I'd love to see people's reactions if you did this song and other 2LC songs at a Karaoke bar :) I hate Karaoke, but this is one of the few songs I would consider singing.
@reivenlocke I quote, " Later hard rock band Van Halen sued over an uncleared sample of their song "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" in The 2 Live Crew Song "The Fuck Shop"."
I can't believe people don't know the samples from this, seeing as they were both huge songs. The first is Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n' Roses, the second is Eddie Van Halen, from Van Halen's song Aint Talkin' bout Love.
How can anyone hear Eddie playing the guitar and not instantly recognize him even if you don't know the song? Wow...
You will drink my cum and nothing more :DD Milky and white.
I performed this song on my prom here in Tallinn in front of 600 spectators, teachers, parents. They cheered at the end, i guess they didnt undastand the lyrics :)
Heh, I remember when this song first came out, when I was a boy. All the adults around me seemed to freak out at the line, "I wanna see you bleed!" I heard about that line long before I got my hands on this album, and even then I knew what they were going for with it. Heh, guess they forgot all about Guns N' Roses just a few years earlier.
Definitely one of the best songs off this album. This was actually released as a single. It wasn't a hit, but it actually almost did crack the top 40 in The Netherlands, but it was retitled "The Funk Shop".
I maintain that 95% of hip-hop and electro/dance artists use samples out of laziness and/or lack of originality. That being said, Luke and Mr. Mixx put some serious thought into incorporating "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love", "Sweet Child o' Mine" and ""Little Bit o' Soul" in such a creative way. Lyrics are a little over-the-top for my taste, but great arrangement, nonetheless!
It's amazing how when a rhythm or riff is used from Soul or R&B that it's called "sampling", but "stealing" when it comes from Rock.

lol, rockers are notorious for stealing songs. led zeppelin, beloved rock group--dont get me wrong, i love em--stole a whole buncha shit from old jazz n blues players. also from random dudes they knew of.
@reivenlocke -I agree with you. A lot of rap artists use all genres or music to sample from. Some of the best samples have come from rock records. A song like "The Fuck Shop" made be more interested in rock music. I wanted to hear the songs that were sampled from in their original form.
@reivenlocke This has to be the dumbest thing that I ever read. Which ever way that you think about this, it is *stealing* intellectual works from another that most likey has a *Copyright*. The 2 Live Crew needed to get a lawyer to clear the samples the same way that MC Hammer did, and Dr. Dre did and so on and so forth. You can think what you want about the "Rock" crowd, but remember that stealing is stealing no matter if it was the 2 Live Crew or Celine Dion. Get you facts right. Deuces.
2LC paid to use the riffs. GnR and VH both got their slice out of the deal. If you don't like it, there's really only 2 things you can do about it - nothing and cry more.
@reivenlocke I'm a HUGE Van Halen and GNR fan. I don't think it's stealing it's just those stupid idiots that say it's stealing.
