I looked on Youtube a bit, since I hadn't seen the one you refer to...do you mean the one that ends with the Shakira song? Pretty much any series can cross over with Phoenix Wright - it would have to have more similarity than happening to pick the same two series to be called an "elaborate version" of the skit.

Ours has fewer memes and less random dancing - if anything, we greatly improved on the concept, without even knowing this skit existed :P

The two cons were on the same weekend in different parts of the country, neither group had posted info about their skit idea online beforehand...and, well, you can see what great minds can do, what with all their thinking alike and such XD

We go to the same college, and when you told me that you'd been part of the best dramatic skit which was a combo of death note and phoenix wright, I said "Oh, I just have to know how that one goes." If I recall correctly, we were hanging out with a lady and a baby that day... I was ignored twice by people I like (one who claims to be my friend) Surely you remember me! We even went to anime club together for a while.
