I was a night cleaner at McIntosh got to stick My nose in every aspect of there production I own a Mc3200v 100by100W 1990 the last year all components wear soldered in Binghamton N.Y. Clarion bought McIntosh in 1991 and parts are maid in Mexico but the rejection is incredible quality control tosses like 75% only the best parts make it I missed Jerry from the Greatfull Dead buy 10 minutes wen he brought 32 Mc1000's in for a tuneup the Wall of Sound was run with them nice system enjoy it I would

I was playing it through my iPod in the wav or lossless format using the Wadia 171i transport with a high quality digital cable into the dac in my McIntosh MCD500. A very high quality dac. Now I purchased a Mac Mini to use only as a music server. I using an optical cable to the Dac in my MCD500 also. I have about 5700 plus songs on the hard drive. It sounds even better than the Wadia

transport. I use the remote on my iPod touch to select music. I have an hdmi cable to the big screen.

I was playing that through my iPod in the wave or lossless format. Wadia 171i iPod transport into a very high quality dac in the MCD 500 sacd player. Since than I now have a mac mini which I use for my music server, with an optical out to my dac in the MCD 500. An hdmi to the big screen. My music is controlled by my itouch as the remote. only use the mini for music only. It sounds very good.
