  • @hindocarina about how much do charge for that ocarina shape and form (it does not have to be from Zelda) ?

  • Does anyone know were i can buy this and if so how much?thanks!

  • "The difference is the Corian is rock hard, completely waterproof, and comes in cool colors."

Really? How rock hard? Is it nonbreakable rock? Waterproof sound promising. Cool color? Excellent.

I don't know much about Corian. Hope you explain clearly. I am thinking about planning to buy a ocarina made of corian, that you had in this video.

  • nice!

  • did u make it?

  • are you selling this kind of ocarina? because its excellent :D

  • wow nice! :O

  • im having trouble makeing a clay ocarina. and your making yours out of rock and wood!

  • i wonder where i can get one

  • Thats a little wonder to play a chromatic scale on such a little ocarina.

  • your fingers look fake

  • where can i buy one

  • So which songs are u playing? Its clearly no zelda songs:P

  • It's called Irish Washerwoman

  • it's pretty sweet on ocarina

  • very nice, but one thing I have to say is if you are going to be calling it a Zelda product, maybe at least play some zelda songs in the demo, placing a triforce on the mouth piece doesnt sell this as a Zelda replica to me, but nice none the less

  • I'm not selling it as a replica because it's not.

  • AUGH!!! I wish I'd heard of Hind when I could've got a Corian Oc!! D'oh... Ah well... I'll be ordering my sweet potato double pretty soon...

  • I'm not making them from corian anymore, but this size (sopranino) is available on special order in various woods. Download a current price list on my main sweet potato page on the site or send me an email. Thanks

  • I tried looking for them on the website but did not come across them. Are they still available or have they not been posted on the website yet?

  • How can i get one? How much do they cost?

  • What kind of fingering system is that? English? I'm trying to follow it on that chromatic, but it's hard to follow your fingers

  • Yes, English

  • hm. i guess what throws me off is the fact you are using your thumbs to play the accidentals on the lowest notes.

i'll have to try that on my 6 hole.

  • oic...I have added a small thumb for the lowest two accidentals. It's much easier than half holing.

  • ahh it all makes sense now :)

  • Wow, It is very wonderful.

    たいへん すばらしい

  • mr hind has such talent!i just ordered my first ocarina!

  • I really really want this. Ive been looking for a pendant forever now with good sound and thats sturdy. This is it! awesome!!!

  • Dido to Massieko, I am interested as well. It sounds perfect and would be perfect.

  • Hello!

I checked out your site and I couldn't find this guy on there. I even did a search.

I've been interested in getting an ocarina that I can take with me EVERYWHERE and not have to worry about breaking/ruining it. I love taking my ocarinas to the beach, I actually have a rock out in the water I swim to and play my ocarina out there but putting it in a ziploc back gets annoying. This ocarina, being so small and strong and water proof would literally never leave my neck! So how much are they?

  • If it's unavailable, try Mountain Ocarinas, they make some sturdy stuff. They also a lifetime guarantee. But their stuff sounds louder and less "resonant" than most other ocarina brands (which is good for Celtic music, but some don't like it)

  • oh my god thats amazing!

  • It is a sweet potato, and it is a pendant...no problem.

  • Not to be offensive, Every other person usually says that kind of ocarina is a sweet potato, but you can still call it a pendant if it's a ocarina that hangs from your neck XD

  • Thanks. I've been selling them on my website in rosewood instead of Corian, but I'm out of them right now. I hope to have some more available in January. The exotic woods sound just as good, if not better.

  • About how much would one of these cost when you get them back in stock?

  • Send me your email address and ask for a price list and I will send you one.

  • do you have these back in stock?

  • Amazing sound :) were i can buy this ocarina?

  • Omg, that ocarina was so cool! and it sounded awesome! But I don't understand how it can be made out of one pice of stone without have been splited...

Can I have that ocarina of yours? Please? *Looks really cut and get puppy eyes*

  • Wow hehe. Nice playing. And nice ocarina. o_o *Jealous*

  • That's really sweet sounding. Any professionals want to chime in? I'm wondering how the tone differs from differing wooden ones. If the tone is there, it's water proof, hard as a rock... sounds like a winning material you have there.

  • i havent seen these on your website

  • WOW! Good stuff :D

  • corian.... i know that stuff. And know even an ocarina is made out of it. That's a mighty impressive :P (and it sounds very clean and well too :P )

  • Hehe, I now know what to save up for

  • You NEED to save up for it is it like rock i go in my pool with it all the time it is seriously like a rock! and it has a nice sound to it as well as you can see in the vid

  • nice

  • he makes wonderful ocs

  • they have such a unique sound to them. Btw are you gooing to be posting some ocarina vids? if so let me know. i might subscribe.

  • yeah i will be, but my pendant broke, on the sidewalk, like 20 different pieces, there will be a delay, i will either get a tenor pendant from songbird or a 12 hole soprano from stl

  • oh thats too bad. :( i am trying to sell my Songbird sweet potatoe XL, fairy extended range, and eaglebone so i can get a maparam triple, focalink double bass C, and focalink double soprano G. btw what kind of pendant did you have? check out focalink too! they have very cool novelty pendants! and regular ones as well. they have a good selection. and one of the ocarinas i got from stl had a broken sub hole and it was very airy. if you are going to stl i suggestthe tenor enigma.

  • i wish i could buy it but its a bit expencive :(

  • oh, i forgot to ask mr.hind did you needed a nintendo special permission to comercialize the zelda ocarina?

  • Its just an ocarina with a triforce on it.

  • yep but the shape and the model it dosent mater just for having zelda on its name makes it nintendos matter

  • ..nintendo didnt make ocarinas. FAIL

  • Technically it's the Mon of the Hojo family. It's public domain, he wouldn't need permission to put it on the ocarina.

  • wow that was wounderful (if it is spelled like that lol)

  • You can't really compare them, as the materials used are very different. This new Hind ocarina is made of Corian, a type of high quality plastic. Songbirds are made of clay.

    Beautiful ocarina, Mr Hind!

  • Wow, you are a great craftsman and performer. Really nice looking and sounding ocarina. I bet you have a winner here!

  • wow...that is awesome...and small....I want one.

great playing....wast was the first song you played? (was it the Irish washer woman?)

  • Yes it was...thanks!

  • how long have you been doing this 40...50 years?!

  • it says on his website he has been doing it for 30

  • oh, i never really went too far into his website, i usually just check out his products, which pwn by the way Mr.Hind

  • i want one soo bad ive been on the site at least 50 times ive seen everything ive actually emailed mr.hind a couple times too lol

  • very fun to watch :D amazing job on making that! ^_^ i might have to get one eventually!

  • beautiful!!!

  • 1. That ocarina is sooooo nice

    2. It has great sound

    3. You play like a God on it

    Enough said

  • Wow, absolutely gorgeous in both look and sound! I really need to start saving up to buy more of your ocarinas mr Hind. =)

And that is some fast fingering action btw.

    Awesome performance!

  • Fabulous! Keep on doing what you love! You are amazing at it.

  • Your playing in this video proves once again that you're a true master.

And the ocarina is really beautifully crafted.

    Well done Mr Hind.

  • Wow... Mr. Hind, I am very impressed with this ocarina! I think on my next paycheck I'll get one! This has to be your best ocarina yet~!
