water did not get in the intake fools, if it did it drained back out before starting the truck. It doesnt matter what engine you have, water does not compress! The engine will either not do anything or blow a hole through the cylinder wall!

all four tires WONT spin unless you are moving fast, or in 4 wheel low, invest in posi trac fron and rear end and some mud tires and you are good, my 1997 is bone stock. GO CHEVY!

that's not true at all. the only way all four tires will spin with full power is if you have a locker front and rear. with the limited slip he has the truck will just give power to the tire with the least amount of traction

well, lets see, im a certified technician, i have a bone stock 97 z71 with 3:73s and royal purple synthetic gear lube. i built the front and rear ends, and i didnt put a locker in the front, i have limitied slip in the ass end, and when i am in 4 wheel low, all four tires turn a hair over 400 horses on a 4 wheel dyno. each wheel on the front turns the same power outage. but i dont have a locker. still i say GO CHEVY! cant go wrong with a real AMERICAN made car!
