  • she would look amazing with dark hair

  • I think she looked the best that she ever looked in this film. And I read about the nose job too. You know what, I could care less. Marilyn Monroe was drop-dead gorgeous.

  • Beautiful!, Marilyn was just beautiful and talented actress!, and a very nice person indeed.

  • S T U N N I N G

  • This woman is NOT Marilyn! She is Fran Jeane - her cousin! She used to stunt Marilyn...

  • marilyn and the camera, the greatest love affair of all time. she looks amazing here x

  • @SydHawdon you said it!!

  • Beauty in shape.

  • Wasn't a screen test per se, but a hair and make-up test, followed by a wardrobe test.

  • @Glenn1441 I was wondering about that myself. Would they have really even asked for a screen test for an actress of Marilyn's stature and caliber at that point in her career?

  • @TroyOi Not at all. Monroe was truly a mega-star in her own lifetime. As to 'SGTG,' Marilyn 'owed' 20th Century Fox a picture under contract, and this light, romantic comedy seemed to her the least harmful to her career. Make-up and wardrobe tests are standard for any film. They're extremely helpful and prevent a great many mistakes as far as color, light, fit, etc. And that's what this clip is -- a make-up and wardrobe test. She never looked better. Luminous.

  • @TroyOi It's not a screen test, it's the director's technical colour screen test for the hair, make-up and costumes to see her in character and how they photograph on her. I don't know if they still do these these technical tests but you can see lots of them on all the old stars for movies like Gone With the Wind on youtube.

  • she looks depressed here but yet she puts on her "glow" as best she can wish the film had worked out

  • She lost 15 pounds before making this movie and looks gorgeous.

  • God I loved her! Now that is a star

  • Beautiful... radiant... A testament to what exactly she had... Something magic... All the way to the end.

  • She looks mid 20's, at the most.

  • The film was retitled "Move Over Darling" & another platinum blonde, Doris Day, took over the part.

But you can just hear Marilyn singing that title hit song instead of Doris, can't you? Oh yes.

  • @26highstreet ah oops, maybe it was not done for a medical reason, it was a little bump in her nose, I don't have a reliable source. It is believed that she had to do it for her modeling job, or maybe that her foster mother wanted to remove that little bump. As far as I know it shouldn't concern you-it's not like ms Monroe was going to back out and refuse not to get a nosejob...and to call someone an epitome of false simply because they had a minor surgery- or did she even have one?

  • i love her looks in this bit more than ever before...

  • @26highstreet

she gave numerous donations to charities, lots to anonymous orphanages, she was an advocate of civil rights. she went through a tough childhood-and yet we still see her smiling at most photos. enough said.

  • @26highstreet she did not "falsify" herself. she had a dead piece of cartlidge removed from the tip of her nose, it wasn't plastic surgery-more of a breathing hazard. she was famous for lots of things, starting her own production company, being the very first person to speak up about sexual abuse, she was in the no.1 comedy of all time-some like it hot, she was in the legendary skirt-blowing scene in the seven year itch. she was a pop cultural icon! there are more but it can't fit.

  • @lipps213 Where did you read Marilyn's nose job was done for a medical reason? I never heard anything about that. Besides, she still maintained the same bump on the end of her nose. It was just that the bridge looked thinner afterward.

  • she is the best...

  • Marilyn Monroe was just Hollywood product, a victim of the society of that time.

  • She doesnt look so good here.....

  • The original fake, bottle blonde and plastic surgery, Monroe started it all and look where it's all ended up

  • @26highsteet Ever heard of Mae West? or Jean Harlow? Marilyn was sweet. Why even look at her videos if you're going to say crap about her?

  • @MegaLoveme1 Just saying she is the original fake, no-one can argue with that, or the fact she is famous is because of the way she looks

  • @26highstreet You know very little about classic Hollywood to think that Marilyn was the original blonde or the first to have plastic surgery.

  • @xXPinkGoddessXx Sorry but she is the epitome of being false.

People sit there and talk about air brushing and plastic surgery nowadays but many are unaware that its been going on for decades.

Most of these actors would not be worshipped if it were not for the surgeons knife and the artists brushes/clever lighting and touching up of photographs

  • @26highstreet And my comment stands; if you think Marilyn was the first to physically falsify herself you don't know much about Hollywood.

  • So she change of Make-up every time, she turn around?

  • one of the most beautiful creatures ever to appear on screen. and by far the most charming one.

  • @katyrus100 and everyone else; she copied jean Harlow the original platinum blonde, do movie history research.

  • She was beautiful here. Too bad "Something's Got To Give" never made it to the screen. It would have been a good film for her. Fox recast the script in 1963 and released it as "Move Over, Darling" with Doris Day.

  • honestly i would choose audrey hepburn than her.

  • @villzam There are Audreys and there are Marilyns.

  • She's so beautiful <3

    R.I.P

  • wow...she is just absolutely lovely.

  • she's so flawless....

  • How come when Marilyn lowers her eyes

    she looks glamorous and sexy

    but when I do it

    I look dizzy and stupid

    no fair!

  • Yes, she did get a nosejob. It is common knowledge and she never denied it.

She was very feminine and fragile and I believe that is her whole appeal. She was just so beautiful and one of a kind.

Those who knew her called her by one word: cute.

They all said she was cute and funny. Not depressing or dumb as she

    is often portrayed.

  • my gooooooooood.. she's gorgeous..

  • i luv her!.. she looks better as a golden blonde tho... i dont care for white hair, but she is still as gorgeous as always!

  • Sadly this movie was never finished shooting because Marilyn died soon after ... There was a documentary about this unfinished movie. There's a scene of her in a pool frolicking away to the Dean Martin's character! Very cheeky scene!

  • This is a beautiful instrumental version of the title track.. Short of you uploading it in its entirety, where can I get it?... Thanks..

  • Magnificent!!!!!

  • That's beauty unlike all the reject celebrites today that are injected with lipo and botox!

  • @TheCalichic9 can't really say marilyn is any better than that. she had a nose job.

  • @anoziraflaminghot she had a minor nosejob , just the nd thinned but there was no botox or lip fillers or even good facelifts then, she was just Beautiful!

  • @Lanceisabeach i can't call her beautiful if she's not all natural :/ a nose job is still a nose job.

  • @anoziraflaminghot You're nuts. She DID NOT have a nose job you jerk.

  • @roniannecarlson lmao she did have a nose job. you can tell by before and after pictures. and any article i've ever read about her mentioned she got a nose job to help her modeling/acting career. she also dyed her hair blonde to help her appearance. this girl isn't natural. besides that, she even has make-up on. she IS gorgeous, but NOT natural.

  • @anoziraflaminghot who cares?

  • @thehiphopdepot me. sick of seeing fake women being glamourized.

  • @anoziraflaminghot IMHO, getting a nosejob doesn't make a woman fake. It actually reveals her vulnerability and insecurity for me, thus (in an odd way) making her more human.

  • @californiagurl1271 how is it not fake? it's not her real nose. i think plastic surgery does make people fake. it does show you have insecurities, but what's so beautiful about that? confidence and self acceptance is beauty, not changing yourself into a mold. it shows an unhealthy psychological mind. health is what people are attracted to. i think she's cute, but i hate that she's glamourized. real, true, honest beauty should be praised, not unhealthy minds.

  • @anoziraflaminghot As a woman, as a human being, I don't think it makes her fake. If you want to get technical, yes, her nose is fake. But all I stated was as a woman, as a person, she is real. I believe most humans are insecure, and thus getting plastic surgery (which shows insecurity) reveals a very "human" quality to a person. I never said plastic surgery is "beautiful." Most people aren't perfect in that they have 100% confidence and self acceptance, unfortunately. Wow, that was long! :o

  • @californiagurl1271 like i said in another comment, she's just like any other wanna-be perfect celebrity out there. i don't find marilyn to be disgustingly annoying. i find the ATTENTION she gets to be disgustingly annoying. she shouldn't be glamourized the way she is.

  • @anoziraflaminghot Once again you don't get it. Marilyn is praised because of her charm and vulnerability, her beauty helps, but it was mostly her personality. She was a kind and sweet woman. All who knew her praised her for her selflessness. Many who knew her said she never uttered a bad word about anyone and was always nice to those she came across. Her charm and luminous quality even overpowers on screen. There are women that are more beautiful than Marilyn, and even they don't possess that.

  • @ThePharaoho couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @anoziraflaminghot I never said you found her to be disgustingly annoying... All I said was I disagree withyour statement, which basically said "Marilyn Monroe is fake":

As a woman, as a human being, I don't think it makes her fake. If you want to get technical, yes, her nose is fake. But all I stated was as a woman, as a person, she is real. I believe most humans are insecure, and thus getting plastic surgery (which shows insecurity) reveals a very "human" quality to a person.

  • @californiagurl1271 and all i'm saying is i don't care if insecurity is a human quality. it's not one to be praised. it's one to be worked on and get helped with. there's nothing beautiful about a person who has insecurities, it's natural yes, but i wouldn't call it beauty. people give marilyn too much credit, "marilyn has qualities of a real human being." EVERY human has qualities of a human being -__- she's nothing special. and i still think she's fake.

  • I never called insecurities beautiful... -_- I just said that's what make her not fake. IDK, you just keep deviating from what we were discussing so I'l just end it here: That's why she is special--she's this incredibly glamorized figure, but in the end, she is just one of us. A paradox, but a true one.

  • @californiagurl1271 i wrote about more than just her being fake. you just chose to only talk about that. doesn't mean i went off topic. you happen to see celebrity's in a different light. i see them as nothing more than a regular human being. she is no more real or fake, special or not, than any regular person. you speak of her insecurities like it doesn't happen to famous people or something. it makes her regular. which is why i'm so confused as to why so many people obsess over her.

  • @anoziraflaminghot I'd defend anyone, not just celebrities, who choose to get a nose job and are thus automatically dubbed "fake" with my first argument :) Human beings appreciate aesthetic beauty. Although that definition can defer, what's wrong with a human being honest with him or herself in that they want to harmonize their outer appearance with what they want inside? I don't think anyone has the right to label another person as "fake" just because they got a nosejob...

  • @californiagurl1271 oops, meant differ!

  • @anoziraflaminghot Who in Hollywood is natural? Most hollywood stars have had work done then and now. So you are saying that hollywood stars aren't natural beauties?...No shit! They are paid and are made to project images of perfection; however they are not perfect in real life. It's an illusion...you know...Like the movies they make? You didn't think they were real too did you? DUH!

  • @ThePharaoho no sh*t all of hollywood is fake. which is my point exactly! marilyn is exactly like every other fake person in hollywood. and every single one of these "beauties" get praised for their good looks when it's not even natural. nothing is special about marilyn. she's just like any other overly glamourized wanna-be perfect celebrity in hollywood.

  • This shows her to be looking great right until the end, and better than she had in the late '50's.

  • Ironically, a few months before her death, she looked the best she had ever looked

  • Yeah no she needs that beauty mark on her cheek, like this it's just not her or sexy enough. I think that beauty mark just made her look different exotic/sexy at-least it helped. I cant explain it but it was her trade mark.

  • As if she had to "test" for anything, at this point. Truly one of a kind. We will never see the likes of her again. Major sigh-inducer. Thanks for the upload.

  • She looked so beautiful in this footage. She looked better with age. She was and always will be an original. Some have tried to copy, but they never come close. RIP Norma Jean. xoxo

  • flawless, that smile

  • white hair is usually for the old but my god she looks better than any 20 year old I've ever seen. She looks so sweet and friendly, her smile is so , i dont know man it makes you start smiling and laughing at whatever it is that's ticklin' her. she'd be nice to have lunch with I bet. just for fun

  • She looks the MOST BEAUTIFUL here than any other time in her life......my opinion....

  • BEAUTIFUL WOMEN !!!

  • I love her such ease and ageless beauty!

  • @hanane1990 That's not grey hair, it platinum blonde. And she doesn't look old, she looks gorgeous!

  • @kingsweetable

in fact she does look old and she wasnt beautyfull too..all make up and image.

    i am shocked to see

  • @JayTj2 Do you see any wrinkles? 'Cause I don't. Make up just enhances, features are the ones that make you beautiful. She is beautiful in my opinion.

  • @JayTj2 I think you need to get your eyes checked!

  • perfectt

  • @hanane1990 Old? LOL... Poor you. I guess you must be about 7 from your comment.

  • @hanane1990 How does she look old? I dont see any wrinkle on her face, and her hair is platinum blond, not gray,

  • @hanane1990 she was 36 when she did this, maybe she was tired, but not old

  • @michaelpack1988 she was 35-36 not old

  • @DroppedEverythingNow nope, not even middle age yet

  • @michaelpack1988 what do you mean that movie came out in 1962 she was 36

  • @michaelpack1988 It's the contrast to her teeth. They didn't have fake whitening back then.

  • You totally ruined the subtlety of her nuances and expressions by playing certain parts backwards. Leave it alone. Thumbs down!!!!

  • what's all that mouth moving stuff she's doing ?

  • @durgaaa I think this video (to make it longer) is showing rewinding in some parts...making it look like she keeps moving her mouth lol

  • she look like a barbie
