This is the same track she recorded in 1981, she simply re-mastered it. Her voice is isolated a bit more, with a little more reverb, and "pan'ed" stereo.

The thing is people loved that lyric line and new recording would've disapointed much too many.

Like the song she did in Montreal before Sony producers, they rushed in studio next morning recording it, but... the magic wasn't there.

Québec est une ville, mais c'est aussi une province. Québec est la seule province francophone (majoritairement) du Canada. Ici, la plupart des gens habitant le Québec se disent québécois et non canadien. C'est une question de fierté je dirais.

i think she was about 12 when she recorded that song, it was her 1st recording, her mom wrote that song for her, so you can;t expect a 12 year old girl to sing like an adult...
