If you have one of these Camaros then just be happy if your doors are stock because I had a nightmare time. They are huge but it could be worse.

I realize that they were on the car when you bought it, but Ive heard that if you go lambo, welded/bolted is superior in every way compared to bolt on. Do you know the brand of these? Im considering buying some for my '84. Specs plz?

I wish I read your thread before I installed a vertical door kit on my 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 this past weekend. What is the maxmimum load for the shocks in your vertical kit? Each of my shocks can carry a 720 lb. load and since the doors are light, the doors raise an inch when I open them.

Not sure about the load capacity but my doors are heavy and the shocks are good enough. My doors drop an inch when I open them.

I didn't purchase them personally as they were installed on the car when I bought it but I would not recommend them at all. They are a pain and a half. It's a very bad thing to do to a car. My doors rub the fenders while opening but even if they didn't they still have a few flaws. Like the door not being level after the handle is poped.(When the door is swung out it actually drops an inch or so. Try closing it from the inside!! That's even harder)

Also when the door is open in the vertical position it 'blows in the wind' so to speak. There's more too that I can't remember right now. Do yourself a favour and don't touch them!

The Camaros from those years have huge doors. I always have trouble getting out in tight parking spots.
