Most of these "guides" turn out to be almost worthless because the people doing them are not smart enough to know they need to do everything slower. All these fast clicks helps no one except the people who already know how to do it. Of course if someone already knew how to do it they would not be watching a guide. So the guide ends up being unhelpful and worthless.

when you finish using lasso tool just click Ctrl+Shift+I and then ckick Delete button, you don't need to open new work again!!

and just be sure that the layer is an unlock

For pictures like this one there is a much easier way to make a selection like this. It's under the magic wand and it makes auto selection. Simple, reliable and way faster!

and when you have mark the area that you want to cut out

use the ''move tool ( V ) ''

open a new picture , then you got 2 layers .

move the picture that you cuted out

to the other pictue , wich is layer 2

and that's it :)

If you mess up a cut; using the outer glow to mask it is probably the WORST thing to do; if anything it shows the imperfection even more.

rather than 'fixing' your mistakes by drawing or smudging off bits afterward, you should just make a mask. After you've made that selection, just click the button in the bottom of the layers pallete that looks like a circle inside a rectangle (might have to unlock background layer first), then hit ctrl+i to invert the mask. Now you can use a black or white brush to make adjustments to the mask, without losing image data.
