This Song means so much to me.......Like all great POP songs it seems to have been written

just for ME !

It made an impact as a young kid in the 70's and it still resonates today.....sounds even better,

a true piece of brilliance from a genuine talent.......come on fate start taking some BAD guys and leave all the good ones alone !!

He does not look well here.. It is really sad to hear that he passed away last year... He gave so much and God said that his work was done and called home... I think that the boy in the song wanted to be an only child in his parents lives... Thoughts anyone...

Just learned that he passed away last year. God, this single was one of the first records I bought. Great song and nice warm voice which hasn't changed. RIP Andrew.

I just found out and I am so disapointed to see AG has passed away, I just loved his music and his work with wax was just fantastic, he will be sadly missed from here in Peru and all the way to Australia where my other family loved him too

1/2 down from the original key. His hands are playing the correct chords, but he transposed the electronic piano down 1/2. Bon Jovi does living on a prayer 1 whole step down in concert now. The older we men get, the harder it is to sing high. If you listen to the end of the tune, the lady on keyboards take the high part.

I believe it may be stated that Andrew's songs which include the timeless and classic song of friendship "Thank You For Being A Friend" and the experience we all have felt in our lives as in the song "Lonely Boy" (in one sense or another) of "self reflected loneliness" in this ever changing world. His songs enable us all to endure and carryon with the day to day struggles called life.
