@Sasofan multipliers, you'll see the count go up at the top of the screen. so enemies that are 50 points each (i think they cyan ones are) will be multiplied by that multiplier... as you can tell, the score is exponential.

I actually refuse to play this mode - it's the most luck-based of all the modes, and I hate chance in general. You'll keep this high score just becaus I refuse to play this mode :)

This is the mode I LOVED the most since day one, even though I expected different. I loved GW:RE's arcade style hyper-action gameplay, but there is something beautiful about this game. When I broke my 280M with a 587M score (right before this run) I zoned out and it was practically a spiritual experience (not in the religious sense). Just a certain peacefulness with an impending doom around the corner. If I could make a game that would capture that experience, I would in a heartbeat!

it took me a week or so to get my 280 million, and then i didn't play for almost a year, and it took me 3 or 4 nights of playing just pacifism to break the score. i never thought i would. i could only get to 180 million. and the first time i broke 280 million was my 587 million score, and the next night i set this record in the video. what was happening is i was trying too hard to maximize my score with the gates. try just surviving and being cautious, and let me know if it works!

a few nights i tried almost exclusively and almost got it... then i realized i was wasting my time as i wasn't any good at sequence. i didn't have it remembered. i was starting from scratch, even dying on stages within sequence that were easily survived (had i known the pattern).  watch a high score run of sequence on youtube to see some patterns, and the revisit it after you try, and work on getting your high score (to make it worthwhile)... then smile becomes easy

in other words, don't waste your time getting smile and not getting it. use your time to bump your high score in sequence, first, then it's not a waste, and it's practically a prerequisite to smile anyway

after getting this score i have only been able to break 400 million on any given day. i actually think i'm getting worse at the game by trying to get better. there's definitely a risk vs. reward with this game, in that so far my highest score (reward) comes from *not* making optimal use of the gates (risky).

Yeah, I was like that for AGES, then, after 9 months, yes, NINE months, I beat what was my then 680 million highscore and got 910, the following day, got 1.3 billion. You've just gotta keep plugging away at it and not let it get to you!

Nice run. My adivice would be to try to be just a little more efficient with the gates. You have the controll skills. I see my name on the top of your friends list at the end. Thank you, coming from a pro. I think I have potential in my control skills, as you can see I am far less agressive, way more cautious, later in this game, just to try to stay alive. That's how I get my highest scores right now. But once I optimize those gates, you're right, I'll improve my scores significantly. Amazing job on both Pacifism and Deadline, wow!
