thanks i finally solved my problem, how to fold my kimono that i bought yesterday from our San Francisco Cherry Blossom's festival. thanks for the knowledge on how to fold it. domo arigatou ne!!!
Since I'm a guy, I doubt I'll need to fold a kimono, but can you tell us the difference between a kimono and a yukata? I'm guessing a yukata is a thinner version of a kimono, but I'm not sure. I'm glad you're learning about Japanese things before you're junior / senior year of high school.
@kantishna39 I'll make an annotation but a kimono is made out of silk and a yukata is made out of cotton, yukata are worn at summer festivals while kimono are worn at more formal events
@TwilightsSerenity Kimono are not allways silk, I am half Japanese and was born and raised in Japan and I have several kimono's and one of them is wool, and kimono's are for men and women.
@kantishna39 Men wear kimono too, I grew up in Japan and have several my favorite kimono is made of wool, not all kimono's are silk, or for women, in fact kimono translated more properly is any traditional Japanese clothing
Finally a very helpful and easy to understandable vidoe . thank you very much:)

With furisode (long sleeved kimonos) you just fold the sleeves when you lay them over on top of the rest of the folded kimono. ^_^
