I use the Dlink Dir-655. I have my QoS turn on with default settings and I don't have the chopy talk you mentioned. When I had a older USRobotics router (802.11b) I did. So, guess not all routers are the same when handling Voip.
you do know that if u plug a phone line in the magic jack and plug the other enn in any one of the wall jacks instead of a phone, you Will have service in all the other jacks throughout the house right.
So true BUYER BEWARE....Recently attempted to purchase a Magic Jack Plus...They charged me 85.00 by time the shipping and extra charge for secure shipping... I did not receive the product.. Contacted Customer Service and they were so rude and unconcerned... They refuse to refund my money... BUYER BEWARE
I ordered the Magic Jack Plus....because want to use MY HOME NUMBER. After I bought it, they tell me my number CAN"T be transferred! I have had this number for 30 years and have moved it from ATT to vonage to Optimumvoice..,.which is VOIP so not sure why MY number can't be transferred. They said to try later..... oops
