I wear colored contacts to my school and i used to be horrible at it! i would get so frusterated that i would just count 1,2,3 and i would stick them in really fast it would hurt but its worth it!
I used to be bad too. 2 weeks ago. I'm not wearing contacts for a long time,but the first week was really frustruating. But now,when I put it in I try at least 2 times. Mostly 1 time. Taking it off is the easiest thing since the first time. Putting it in just takes a lot of practice. I might do a video soon though :D I'm 12,hahha.
COMPLETE FAIL! I had a hard time getting my contacts in too, but my friends taught me a trick that the eye doctors dont tell u...dont try lifting the top eyelid-instead, look up while pulling ur bottom eyelid down a bit and put the contact on the white of ur eye, then look down while still holding ur bottom eyelid. The contact should pop on, release the skin...u may have to roll ur eye a bit, but this method works everytime for me...If u want i can create my own video, let me know if u want it..

Maybe, before you start wearing them, you might want to try to touch the whites of your eyes, the bottom part. And slowly, practice touching nearer to your pupil. And when you can touch the whites of your eyes confidently, start trying to wear the contacts. It works great for me! I know, you are now able to do it, but this is for the viewers who don't know how to. :)
I'm on my fortnight trial for contacts and it's taking me about half an hour to get them in! I'm using the daily disposables and apparently they're a bit more difficult.. I'll have to opt for surgery if I can't get the hang of it...

I got mine a week ago, and I was getting so frustrated trying to put them in, so my mom told me to not look at my finger going into my eye and watch myself with the eye I'm not putting the contact in. It helped a lot, I'm getting much better too, haha but my left eye just does not like the lens. =p hope my tip helped new contact users! =)
My first time putting in contacts was during my third period geometry class. It was so difficult it took the whole period. haha But now it takes me at least less than a minute to put in. The hard thing is to take it out.
Not sure how it works in the US, but i live in the UK got my first contacts 2 weeks ago...but before they allow you to use them you have to have a lesson in puttin them in and removing them. They give you 30mins to put them in and take them out 3 times while the eye nurse watches you... i guess if you dont do it in 30mins you dont get them! i was lucky took me around 20mins, but my eyes were so sore!! :)
It took me 45 minutes to put them on for the first time, after 4 months, I spend 2 minutes daily to put them on, believe me, it ain't easy touching your own eye for the first time :S, you should contact a specialist to teach you how to put them on before you do it yourself by the way.

you should always wash your hands before touching your contact lense. if you already did, then touching your hair is just making your hands dirty again. maybe try cliping them up so theyre out of the way

if your new to them than 4 min is beyond good......id set in the bathroom infront of a mirror for 10 in trying to get the damb things in and all day id go around saying to myself "dont rub your eyes ammit!!!!"
the tip my optometrist told me...make the tip of your finger wet with solution and only have the contact resting on the very tip of your finger..like where the end of your nail is...it looked like yours was resting on the pad of your finger. the less area on your finger your contact is touching, the easier it will bond with your eye straight up instead of sticking to your finger. hope it helps! :)

You're not supposed to apply it to the DIRECT pupil it can actually curve in and under your eyelid! you're supposed to apply it to the white part then blink and it will adjust!!!

i found an easier way to put them in. if u fold the contsct with ur fingers ans just put it to ur eyeball and unfold it it works perfectly.i gave meself an eye infection tho lol cuz i had unclean fingers. so i keep my contacts in my eyes 24/7

When i take mine out, i push the contacts to the side of my eye, and it comes out easily. And also when i put them in, i loook to the side, and put the lense on the white of my eyeball. Bceause if you put the lense on your acual eye, its more sensitive, making it harder tp put in.
a good way is to get a small mirror and lay it flat on a counter. pull your hair back and just put your eye on the contact, gravity is your friend when you do this. Good luck!!
if you look up... put the lense on... close your eye.... look down... the lense will automatically adjust!! it takes me 2 seconds to put mine on!! and mines are just for color!!
@happieholly it wont get stuck if u do it right. i got colored contacts the other day and thts only happened to me once..i freaked out but it came back down :)
@happieholly dont worry! thats impossible! there is a connective tissue that seperates the eye ball and the inside of ur eye/face. also the lense ONLY covers the coloured and the pupil of ur eye. it dosnt cover ur ENTIRE eyeball. its 100% safe! dont worry :-)
@happieholly theywont they like attach to the color so dont worry i got my first pair of anything i had to put in my eye today i tried my moms yesterday and failed i got both in perfectly fine today so dont worry plus mine are 2x bigger then my eye and they are pink plano lenses

If you've placed your contacts in, and everythings blurry, you may have gotten the wrong perscription, or your eyes have gotten worse and you may need to change your contact perscription.
Hey about the contacts thing how u put em in and they're blurry that happened to me at first umm it might be inside out it should look like a bowl shape. If it is inside out, it will look like a "V" shape. Or you might have to check you're perscription again ^^
@iluvmykitty14 iv just got them today aswell and they are blury but my doctor said my eyes wont adjust to them yet cause iv never had them befor but if it goes blury just blink and it should go back to normal,hope this helped :D

To put them in, a friend told me to look towards your nose and put the contact len on the white part, then you can move it over; close your eyes and roll them downwards and it will go right in place. Before he told me that, I was having an awful time.
it takes like 1 month to get used to it and put them on and take them off in like less than a minute. So she's probably used to it by now, I was liked that when I first got them
Ouch. Looks hard.. I usually just use one hand to pull down my bottom eye lid and then put the contact in with my other hand and I like to look away before it goes in, then close my eyes and look around a bit and if necessary, firmly press down [don't rub] and it usually works fine..

i hate putting contacts in, especially when it folds in half and lodges itself up into the top of ur eye where u can even see it and it hurts like hell

When i take mine out, i push the contacts to the side of my eye, and it comes out easily. And also when i put them in, i loook to the side, and put the lense on the white of my eyeball. Bceause if you put the lense on your acual eye, its more sensitive, making it harder tp put in.

a good way is to get a small mirror and lay it flat on a counter. pull your hair back and just put your eye on the contact, gravity is your friend when you do this. Good luck!!

if you look up... put the lense on... close your eye.... look down... the lense will automatically adjust!! it takes me 2 seconds to put mine on!! and mines are just for color!!

@happieholly it wont get stuck if u do it right. i got colored contacts the other day and thts only happened to me once..i freaked out but it came back down :)

@happieholly dont worry! thats impossible! there is a connective tissue that seperates the eye ball and the inside of ur eye/face. also the lense ONLY covers the coloured and the pupil of ur eye. it dosnt cover ur ENTIRE eyeball. its 100% safe! dont worry :-)

haha i can't get mine in either, don't worry. taking them out is very easy for me though because i learned how to drag it down my eye so you can see it better. then you grab it. it works really well, you should try it.

If you've placed your contacts in, and everythings blurry, you may have gotten the wrong perscription, or your eyes have gotten worse and you may need to change your contact perscription.

Hey about the contacts thing how u put em in and they're blurry that happened to me at first umm it might be inside out it should look like a bowl shape. If it is inside out, it will look like a "V" shape. Or you might have to check you're perscription again ^^

@iluvmykitty14 iv just got them today aswell and they are blury but my doctor said my eyes wont adjust to them yet cause iv never had them befor but if it goes blury just blink and it should go back to normal,hope this helped :D

@iluvmykitty14 then you didn't do it right your doctor should have provided you with the right ones did you lie and say that your vision is bad? you were supposed to let your eyes adjust to them first. maybe you're just not ready for them

it's easy to learn. in the beginning it could take like 30 minutes for me to put them in, but now it takes 5 seconds.

To put them in, a friend told me to look towards your nose and put the contact len on the white part, then you can move it over; close your eyes and roll them downwards and it will go right in place. Before he told me that, I was having an awful time.

it takes like 1 month to get used to it and put them on and take them off in like less than a minute. So she's probably used to it by now, I was liked that when I first got them

Ouch. Looks hard.. I usually just use one hand to pull down my bottom eye lid and then put the contact in with my other hand and I like to look away before it goes in, then close my eyes and look around a bit and if necessary, firmly press down [don't rub] and it usually works fine..
