(continued) Those lyrics (below) were as BMI-PUBLISHED. Later it was sung by Jim as: "Hora nee-ka, Hora nee-ka, Hey-ney, hey ney, no way" and "Water Spirit feeling springing round my head..."
In 1969 my mates made fun of me for liking this song. A few years later, I actually played this song with Jim one night he and I got "over-served" in Portland, OR. He gave me these lyrics: "Witchi Tai Tai, Kimarah Whoa Ron-nee Ka Whoa Ron-nee Ka Hey-ney, hey-ney, no-wah Witchi Tai Tai, Kimarah Whoa Ron-nee Ka Whoa Ron-nee Ka Hey-ney, hey-ney, no-wah What a spirit Spring is bringing 'round my head Makes me feel glad that I'm not dead" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Jim Pepper 1968 Lovetruth Music/BMI
I know a man who has lots of Davids early session tracks from 68/69/70 recorded at City of London and PYE studios these are the original stereo masters( not rubbish dubbed from disc crap ) and he is wondering what to do with them there are some real classic hits included
Thanks for posting! I'm a Heep fan and I'm interested in hearing anything with Byron :-) I already have all records by The Gods, etc and anything else Ken Hensley was involved in before Blackfoot, but not so much with Byron apart from his solo albums. Do you have the other songs (with vocals) from this record?

Besides John, are such famous session luminaries of the time as Clem Cattini (Mike Batt, Bee Gees, Joe Cocker, Cliff Richard, Roy Harper, Albert Lee, Chris Spedding), . And of course this album is of a very special value to all fans and lovers of Uriah Heep, for it was their original vocalist David Byron who sang lead vocals on all the tracks that had lyrics, including, of course, the title track.

@harvey1954 tell me...where are you not hearing Jim Peppers lyrics

It really is David Byron. He did the vocals on two John Schroeder albums, "Witchi Tai To" and "You've Made Me So Very Happy", both released in 1971.

stupid!!!
This is neither Heep nor David Byron

Yes, it's David Byron. I remember reading about this in Mojo magazine around 1996 when easy listening/lounge music became fashionable again.
