hey dude i recently dropped my iphone and get it fixed from a third party and i sometimes it is inresponsive and wont let me do anything and i have to lock it and slide it again and it works fine for a minute and also my screen isnt level with the chrome siding...any ideas???
@braxtondane sounds like it has not been fixed properly (regarding the level thing) ... the other problems seem to be software - you should try a restore ...
you are a fucking morron!!!!!!!!!!what's the point of posting this if you can't see a s**t...this is an iphone it's about the details...it's not a car engine..........
hey there i have a question is that black ruber around the screen necessary? because the new screen im putting on doesnt have it also if it is where can i order it?
Hey man, awesome video! I know you made this a year ago but I was wondering if you could remember how you did the logic board connections, the 4 connections in one go bit. One is a ribbon cable and 3 are push, I have been sitting staring at it for hours... easy to take apart but so hard to put back together. Cheers mate
i first connected the flat ribbon cable by pushing it in the port of the logic board (does that work?) ... then connecting the 4 remaining connectors using a cutter knife... put the blade under the connector attached to the cable and place the logig board exactly over the connector.. then push the cable connectore up using the cutter knife´s blade...
hope that helps... (should take no longer than 10 minutes and should not result in cut cables ;))
YES! worked a treat thanks! how I have to figure out how to make the home button work with the new screen, it's sticking every time I assemble the bezzel unit around the screen. Thanks again though mate!
hello there i have a question is the black rubber around the screen necessary because the new screen doesnt have it? also where can i order it if it is?
Hi, i Got my new Iphone 3G about er... 2 weeks ago. As i opened it out of the box and unpacked all the stuff, i noticed 2 small cracks on the bottom Apple Said they wont give me a refund or exchange , is there any way to buy and replace the whole front panel for the 3G? thankx.
Hi! i dont get why apple would not replace a broken phone if it is broken out of the box... however you could buy a new glas and replace it because it is all modular on the 3g ;)
oh dear... at the end of the video you see the slide to unlock light go from left to right... do i need to say more... the video runs quicker actually... and i cut some scenes thats all...
All cables are connected. Where r u at? Philly here. So if u r around may be u can take a look. By the way do u have skype or google email. I can show thru video chat. Is that cool?
hi, i think you forgot to reconnect the usb connector, is that possible? that is the flat ribbon cable with a different connector than the other ones. you can see it in my other video.
hey i have a question.. i tried fixing the iphone by taking out the glass piece by piece because i had a broken screen.. didn't go so well so the top half touch does not work.. what do i have to buy to fix it.. just the digitizer ?
is ist a iphone 3g or a classic iphone? if it is a 3g you can maybe just change the digitizer (not sure)... If it is a classic iphone i would suggest to change digitizer and lcd in one piece as it is nearly impossible to just exchange the digitizer!
Dude, that motherboard or whatever it is, how the hell do you put that back on? It's the one that the battery is attached to and there's 3 ribbon cables that attach to it. Please help, thanks.
Well I had to disassemble my iPhone in order to replace the LCD digitizer. Now the logic board (the chip that connects to the battery) is off and I'm having a hard time re-connecting those connections. I'm pretty sure it's 3 small square connects that just snap in place and then there's one ribbon cable.
Sure! You should start with the ribbon cable (USB). Then connect the 3 other cables (camera / lcd / digitizer / home button). Last but not least dont forget to connect the power button / volume button cabling on the top of the mainboard... Take a look at my video called 'iPhone digitizer replacement assembly'. Maybe that helps! If you still have questions feel free to contact me...
do you mean the LCD display or the touch digitizer?
if you mean the touh digitizer you should try restoring your phone. if it still does not work, you should return your phone and get a new one (warranty)... if you do not have warranty because you messed with the hardware, you can replace the digitizer (this is not easy) ;)
hi, its the touch digitizer and yes i did jailbreak my phone but its not the whole screen thats not working. its the call and mail and safari the ipod and the slide to unlock thats not working.
that is the exact same problem that the phone in the video also has ;) i hope i will get the new digitizer this week. i will post a video of the repair process then... you should try to restore your phone first!
i wonder if that is what happened to my because the whole screen will not respond to my inputs. Then again i did jailbreak mine so it mite be that. idk
hy thx for you video i have a problem, i no can connect the cable 3, please tell me how i can because i no can hear nothing pleeaaseeeeeeeee!!!!! thx

No way....Apple opens the box and hooks the 3G to the computer. If there was a crack, they would have noticed and immediately replaced the phone.

hi im back from since idk when any way what my problem was that after i jailbroke my iphone it didn't respond any more. any ideas why?
-vhcmwashere
vhcmwashere 3 years ago
when you write your problem WAS something i must assume that you already fixed it.
Do you still have that problem?
If yes, please try to restore your phone first.
Telle me if that helps...
If it did not help to restore the phone, i assume it is a hardware problem (did you drop the phone or did the phone get wet?)

the lcd on my iphone is working but not all of it. what can i do to fix it?

what do you have to pay for a new digitizer?
eminem440000 3 years ago
just do a google earch for 'iphone digitizer' and you will find what you need ;)
tglynx 3 years ago
i wonder if that is what happened to my because the whole screen will not respond to my inputs. Then again i did jailbreak mine so it mite be that. idk
vhcmwashere 3 years ago
do you mean the jailbreak fixed your issue (that would be curious) or you still have the issue?
normaly it is a hardware problem when it could not be fixed by rebooting - and if that did not help - restoring the phone.
tglynx 3 years ago
you must be really smart because this looks really hard to do. this is 5/5 material.
-vhcmwashere
vhcmwashere 3 years ago
thanks ;) actually it is not that hard to do. i will post a video of a complete and 'correct' assembly when the new digitizer arrives...
