omg dude i cant wiat til i get my 7 piece drum set then u can see how good i am but im nowhere near as good as you but i still hav some kick ass beats
Is that a good thing? I`ve always been a relaxed person as much as a relax drummer, even when playing metal. I find that if I tense up and concentrate more on putting energy into my playing, I don`t play as well.
Thanks!! This was taken a long time ago, i`ve improved since. I have the same problem with my right hand! Well I use the flying fingers technique and use a little wrist to keep the momentum and power flowing. Buy heavier sticks (2B), and practice your single strokes on surfaces that have little to no rebound such as a pillow. Don`t over do it though `cause I really messed up my wrist by practicing too hard!
I'm sorry but I think blast beats are just stupid. I'm a metal fan but I don't think they're very impressive cuz all it is is just fast, it doesn't show any musicianship.....
Actually it does. To have consistent strokes at, not only high speeds, but at any speed requires technique (to make sure that you don`t develop carpal tunnel syndrome), stamina, strength and overall musicianship. Metal would not be where it is now, nor evolving for that matter, if it wasn`t for blast beats.
dude, im not a fan of metal, im of jazz funk and upbeaT, BUT YOUR GOOD AT METAL fast feet you, got, ...if your good i dare u to play one of dave weckl tracks, I DARE YOOU EHEH, cool vids
The problem is that metal music is very aggressive and that a metal themed drum solo may seem very repetitive and without style. Metal drumming isn`t necessarially about style, it`s about technique, speed, accuracy and technicality.
Cones. <- That was the kaptcha I had to enter before this video so.. *sigh*. This is a beastly solo, great handwork. The start is a little sloppy, but you even out eventually.
That`s cool, that is a weak point of mine. I`m satisfied with my hands for the time being, but I really do need to work on my feet. Thanks for the comment!
