i just got my cameo 2days ago.... its not wat i expected... i have TOO many problems with it.. for one my pages always rip!! wen i take them off the cutting mate... idk but its pissing me off!! also the blade dose not cutt al the way through even though i have it on the suggested number
This is a very cool machine! We have already had tons of requests for it on our website! The TRUE 12x12 inch size is a dream come true for many crafters.

There are two versions of the SVG formats: SVG and Compressed SVG (SVGZ). SVGZ can reduce file sizes by 50% to 80%; however, you cannot edit SVGZ files using a text editor.
I am very interested in software that works with the cutting machine. Now they say a designer edition of studio software. How do I aquire or puchase that. Does it work with AI (Adobe Illustrator) or EPS files? I can't really find any pertient information on that topic as it's been glossed over on the website.

@GregoryDavidPark Yup the SD can cut fabric, but you have to purchase the iron on interfacing they sell online to make it work...just putting fabric on the cutting mats and sending it through won't work.
@campanitabonita69 I doubt it but why would you need to? Silhouette comes with it's own free software (Silhouette Studio) that has most of the same features. Make-the-Cut was created to "jail break" the cricut from cartridges... Silhouettes aren't as restrictive. You aren't restricted to silhouette provided/ purchased files in Silhouette Studio. It doesn't use cartridges and you can cut any font from your computer without using third party software.
Can this thing connect to a wireless network or do you need to have a direct USB connection to your computer?

Does anyone know the pressure ratings for the cuts on the new machine? Is it able to cut more materials than prior, such as heavier chipboard?
