More specifically, the East Portal, shown here, is located 6 miles northeast of Winter Park. The West Portal is located about 300 feet from the slopes at Winter Park.

That day it had taken about a half-a-hour, the power moves that they do here that they have up here will sometimes make that process longer, if all the engines in the consist are on.
