@Idontknowstuff52 The difficulty in this game includes timing dodges and strikes like castlevania, but less hack and slashing. You also have to anticipate ambushes and traps. Saying Demon's Souls is hard isn't a very good description of its difficulty. They have similar reasons as to why they're difficult, although the way you have to react to those reasons and the gameplay they're part of is rather different.
@TheMrUniboy Thanks man, I've got the game and I think it is not as hard as it is infuriating. Since you can lose a lot of souls with a bad movement. It seems also that there is a lot of reading to get the game. Hopefully even if I do not conquer the game I may pass some parts of it. Though definitely this proves Dark Souls won't be my stuff.

@MicroSilence This is definetly one of the best; Oblivion and Fallout are on the PS3, but they both kind of suck (just play the first two Fallouts) and Star Ocean is out, which is also fun (as long as you play without the horrible dubs) but not as addictive as Demon Souls; Resonance of Fate is another RPG out for the PS3, but I haven't played it yet; I've heard good things about it though.

It's a "ok" game with a couple of game breaking bugs and glitches. It's definitely overrated though, and not the best PS3 exclusive. The difficulty starts out hard, but once you understand the basic it becomes very easy. A good mage build will get you through NG+ and so on, if you wish to keep playing after you beat the game. I just hope they make some big, BIG changes in the next game, graphically and game-play wise.

this game was too easy... build up your endurance, get heavy armor from the last plague level, get a big shield and a spear... when you fight online, you can contantly block and poke the person at the same time... i sold this game, too easy... i want more gear, more balance, and more levels, then the good graphics will be enjoyable

I'm a big big fan of jrpgs but demon's souls seems more western to me, am I right thinking that? Or does it actually have that jrpg feeling? Paying 60 euros for it not knowing whether I like it is a bit too much of a risk in my opinion :/
@STFUPLOX even though it was made by a japenese developer, demon's souls has a strong western feeling in it, the only thing in this game close to being anything like jrpg is the weapon, like huge swords you would see in a final fantasy game, but thats about it.

BTW about Latria those Maneater Bosses are hard only because you can fall and they fly and hide and then come back, i could take those two bastards at the same time in the Flametrucker area in 3 mins in NG++++ with my 120 slvl Hunter

@UnknownDude007 a TON of people play online. But, people need to be in your level range, which is 10% of your level + 10, so they can be that much higher or lower. Btw, the continued online support is ATLEAST to 2011, not necessarily ending then.

I can remember entering into the world of Tower of Latria late at night., the moans and the bells were creepy as hell, then one of those mind flayer things sucked my face off. Scared the hell out of me!
Then theres the digusting Valley of Defilment, filled with rotting corpses, and you know some bitch who comes from nowhere in a foggy swamp and merks you with her meat cleaver... yeah thats not creepy at all... "Sarcasm"
Yes, the Tower of Latria was especially surreal, like when you look up at the green sky and see the webs of huge chains in part 2 of the world. And yeah those bells...
@rolle16 It can be tough when you start out. It's easy to die, but you will learn from your mistakes. You can summon blue phantoms for co-op play, it makes the game a lot easier. If you want to go it alone, just use caution, and the demon's souls wiki!

@Farcry437 demons souls plays nothing like oblivion, i love both but for different reasons, oblivion is about exploration and questing while demons souls is about killing almost everything that moves and gives you the combat mechanics to do it
I platinumed this game, i never thought i would spend time on a game as i spend very little time gaming. But Demon Souls was one which really drew me in, well worth the time and made me throw DA Origins ina corner. If you are looking for a game to test and GREATLY improve your skills, i strongly recommend this game.

The "spikey dinosaur" is the dragon god. You fight him on the last level of stonefang mines, he is an archdemon. Also, the Old One is the final thing you fight during the game, so you havnt faced him yet since that marks the end of the game before newgame+

3 things i hate about Tower of Latria
#1 too much places where you can fall
#2 its too dark to see mostly anything

This game can be soooo addictive. Its just amazing. One of the best games ever, and it feels so epic and the whole atmosphere is so awesome... the atmosphere during the Maiden Astrea BossFight is unbeatable.

@Farcry437 demons souls plays nothing like oblivion, i love both but for different reasons, oblivion is about exploration and questing while demons souls is about killing almost everything that moves and gives you the combat mechanics to do it

@Farcry437 Demon Soul's not at all like Oblivion. This game also is very hard but highly addictive. A must by for PS3 owners in my opinion.

I platinumed this game, i never thought i would spend time on a game as i spend very little time gaming. But Demon Souls was one which really drew me in, well worth the time and made me throw DA Origins ina corner. If you are looking for a game to test and GREATLY improve your skills, i strongly recommend this game.

@RocketSpecialist What are the skills in? (besides for rpgs...) I think I want to do drawing because it's fun, but even more fun is playing videogames. Therefore it's hard to concentrate when enjoying the fun challenges that help forget reality.

The "spikey dinosaur" is the dragon god. You fight him on the last level of stonefang mines, he is an archdemon. Also, the Old One is the final thing you fight during the game, so you havnt faced him yet since that marks the end of the game before newgame+

@tremaursen oh crap your right. I didn't recognize the dragon god without the read eyes. thanks for the clarification. I did beat the game thought b/c they started everything over & i just beat the blob & spider boss today for the 2nd time. Its like 2x as hard now too

and it is, but not in a man i hate this but more in a hmmm that plan didnt work i got to try somthing new. There are games out there that when you upgrade somthing or you get stronger you dont seem to notice. But if you upgrade your charcter to play into your strengths you beging to see the things you had troble with are not as hard anymore. Its still a great game though. At least I feel that way.

@demonkid25 mass effect=RPG, demons soul=RPG. im not comparing apples to oranges. just comparing to similar games to each other. one is placed in the past one in the future. both are good but really mass effect 2 is better. its basically a fact that ME2 is better since it is the best game of 2010 right now. how far did you go back to pick a fight? i now sold my PS3 for an xbox and im damn happy about it. mass effect 2 is fucking great and this was just like any other RPG
